Loulou, your papa is SO smart!
Oh, boy, is mama happy. You won’t believe this but she has been asking EVERYONE, including Apple (!) for YEARS how to choose certain photos from her IPhone for transfer to her PC and NO ONE knew how to stop the automatic download that goes so fast that by the time you click the STOP button, you have downloaded a gazillion useless pictures that you have downloaded before and so now you have a gazillion copies of the same pic on your PC and have to go page by Adobe page and delete the copies.
PAPA AT THE RESCUE. When you download the pictures, you choose the device from which you wish to download, IPhone, camera, etc. and when you think enough pics have downloaded to include the ones you wish, you click STOP and that window has a place to UNCHECK ALL. Which you do. And then you CHOOSE the few pics you wish to download instead of having all of the pics you have ever taken start downloading onto your PC. And papa discovered this just yesterday and both of them were wondering just where their brains had taken a vacation, not to mention the brains of several friends (plus the Apple Store!) who could not solve the mystery. BUT…it is solved and that’s all that matter. Steve (Jobs) would be proud of papa.
All I can say is “Duh”…if they had asked me I would have TOLD them how to do it. I do it all the time when THEY are not here and not watching. But oh, my, lordy, lordy, do NOT EVER TELL that I have an IPhone!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I’ve blown it.
Anyway, I send all my IPhone bills to someone else so they won’t catch on.
Mya shreds them for me.
Is this the face of a shredder, I ask you? NO WAY, JOSE. Loulou sends those bills to the White House!
Well, at least the problem is solved thanks to your paw. I hope the white house pays the bills😹😹Pawkisses for a happy day🌞❤
Just send them yours, too, and you’ll see.
Mom downloads photos to a “Mac laptop” and seems to manage OK with that – I’m sure it’s because I’m usually right beside her to supervise her work. If left to her own devices I’m sure she, too, like your humans, would end up with multiples of everything.
Oh, Noir, could you come visit. Actually Island Cat Mom gave my maman GREAT ideas. But thank you.
Hmmm…the mom has never had a issue downloading photos from her phone to the computer. When she plugs her phone into the computer, she just asks to see the folders on the phone and then selects which photos she wants to transfer. Maybe she’s a genius too!
Oh, yes, she is definitely a genius and what are the folders? Oh, she makes folders of all the new pics? Have to have more info on this one.
What is it with peeps and tech, they buy it and can’t use it, they even read books on it and still can’t use it. Dummies! I don’t let my peep anywhere near my iPhone, I really do want it to last more than a week. I love the idea of sending your bill to someone else, do you have the number of the White House?
Purrs, ERin
I’ll try to get that for you today. I have connections…I think.
Loulou – anytime you need shredding of documents, I’m your gal!! And my lips will be zipped – when i’m not shredding, eating or giving kisses. How clever to now know about telecharging photos. MY mama knows how – she hands the phone to my papa and he does something magic. Our mamas both married geniuses (thank goodness, teehee)!!
Now, if only I could find a mate who likes to HUNT!
Oh LouLou, we’re so sorry, ifin we had known, we could’a helped ya’ll out. Oh well, at least ya’ got it figgered out now. Dat’s what counts right> You two bootyfull girls sure do look luvvly. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Oh, I forgot to ask the Highest Order Of the Computer Hassles Solved, Dezi. Darn. Next time I’ll go to YOU.
Wow! That is one huge monitor screen, Loulou. It must make it easy to see what you’re posting when mama is away.
I am glad your Papa figured things out.
All I can say is, DUH.
I don’t have an iPhone but my PC (not a Mac) has a function that says “exclude duplicates”when I download photos. Maybe there is something like that hiding in the fine print for your Mama, as I also have the uncheck feature.
We now expect to see even more wonderful photos.
By the way, today is the 151st anniversary of General G. A. Custer saying “Bring on the Indians!” or words to that effect.
Custard’s Last Stand!!! Thank you!!! Oh, I mean Custer.
