I think there might be a wolf out here. May I come in, please?
Loulou, we don’t have wolves here! But we wish we had Romeo.
A lovely story: A wolf wandered into Juneau, Alaska and took over the town’s hearts and minds forever.
There are some days that I just want to surf around looking for sweet stories about good people and kind deeds, just to counteract all the terrible events going on in the world that turn people against one another. Some days they are overwhelming, and so I laugh and cry over little events that seem more human than building walls and cutting off relations with other countries.
And this, another story so incredibly touching. A Mosque in Texas burned down this week, and within 24 hours, 500,000 dollars toward the 850,000 needed to rebuild had been donated. And within a day or so the rest was given by residents of the town.
I especially loved the story of Romeo, because it is a perfect example of a species not caring who the other species is and just finding pleasure and friendship with other animals and anthros. BUT…I wonder if Romeo ever ran into a kitty? I think I’ll write the author of the book and see if that ever happened, but I’m pretty sure Romeo would have been just as kind to us.
I think.
I’m stayin’ on mama’s lap. Just to be sure.

WELL, Maman says she doesn’t forgive the wolf-killer! What kind of person shoots animals for sport? Sadistic and mean, I suspect. Poor Romeo. Hope he left some little Romeos and Juliettes behind with the doggies he was so friendly with!! A beautiful story.
Romeo does sound like a nice wolf, but I agree you are safe to stay inside.
Now we’re sad. We’ve read the story of Romeo several times but never a story including what happened to him. We were hoping he died of natural causes. 🙁 Such a big, beautiful animal.
Yes, and such really horrible hunters. Fie on them.
After the announcement of the travel ban last Friday, ABC news reported that the ACLU received $24 MILLION in donations – 6 times what they average in one year.
Thank you for the story of Romeo. I wish it had a different ending.
Yes, some people don’t realize what beautiful thing is in their sites. Hunters, especially.
A nice warm lap is always a safe place! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Well, thank you, and no wolves around here, but I think I would have liked Romeo.
