I’m posing so that you see the resemblance to my cousin…
…who lives in the Largo Argentina, which is a cat refuge near where we stay.
Oui, oui, it’s true I was/am a French kitty, but I did travel often to Rome with mama and papa several times and so I do have memories of my visit and now can see all the lovliness whenever I wish…hence, these little tours of sweet moments in Rome.
The open market at campo dei fiori is one of our favorite places and although now it has changed into much more of a tourist market.
It used to be all vegetables and hat-sellers and a guy who shredded vegetables with a must-have tool for any cook and aprons that were a bit x-rated, and…uh…unpublishable, haha.
Here are pics of the campo dei fiori ,and also one of the lovely interior of Santa Maria sopra Minerva, the Gothic church that sits upon an ancient temple dedicated to Isis, as yet not dug up because, well, the church sits on top of it, haha.
Hey, it’s somewhere down there….
The bounty of spring, tomato sauce coming up, right, mama?
Mama loved this bicycle displaying veggies.
A gladiator apron with wine in its pocket and an x-rated one above off-camera! These aprons are hilarious.
The lovely church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva.
Gladiators who wander around getting their pictures taken with tourists, haha. Mama says they are really nice but I saw them as sometimes a bit bored with all the tourists…
Donc, that’s enough for today. More little scenes of life on the streets of Rome will pop up here now and then after I’ve done a overview of my our lovely city.
Just threw this one in – the ancient stock exchange…
I am not sure if they didn’t have the gladiators years ago when I visited, or if I just never happened to see them.
Beautiful photos, thank you!
They are great fun, mama says. And some of them say a few words in Latin, haha.
There is a resemblance, sweet Angel, but you were one of a kind💗 Granny has been in Roma a few times. Granny’s sister lived there, and it’s a city that effurryone most see at least one time…although we think, that’s to short to see effurrything it has to offer😸😺Extra Pawkisses for all of you🐾😽💞
Mai in una vita they say here. Never in a lifetime would you see all of Rome! So glad your granny’s sister had a life here in this wondrous place.
Your Mama and Papa will know when – and if – adding to the family with another kitty who needs a home will happen. Meanwhile, you will FOREVER be there in spirit!! That’s something that will never – ever – change.
Hugs, Teddy (and Mom too!)
Oui, Mr Teddy, never ever never ever that’s for SURE. Mama is still bringing up salt water of the eyeballs often but I understand and it’s good for her to do that.
Your Mama and Papa are having such a wonderful time seeing the sights they love so much again……and you – yes indeed – may follow them as you wish or make your own journeys to wherever your heart desires now!
Hugs, Teddy
Merci, Mr T, but…uh…mama’s not so sure that my ethereal thoughts are everyone’s cup of tea, whatever that means. It’s just that I do love lingering in memory and will never not love that, even if….uh,oh…another kitty with no home finds mama and papa. Still bothers me a bit, but not much as there are so many of us without forever homes. Still, it’s a big step for them.
I can smell that market, Loulou, and that kitty looks so much like you.
OH, how nice to be able to smell that marche! lovely, and yes, it was defnitely a cousin-moment when mama saw it.
Such terrific photos and your cousin is quite the looker!
Well, those kitties are all pretty well-taken-care-of but there used to be so many more..where did they go….?
Great photos. That kitty does look a lot like you, but not quite as cute. XO
Awww…merci, Ms E. It’s nice that I can visit them now…quite and experience.
It is getting to be Farmer’s Market season here too. We enjoyed meeting the fresh tomatoes and your cousin too.
Merci, Ms Mary. Farmer’s markets are mama’s favorite spots on earth, those and just anywhere with fresh air and trees and …you know.
oh dee mum haz tomato envy!!!
