Okay, does this silly dove expect me to provide serviettes for his (her?) toilette??? The nerve of these birdbrains, just about to jump in MY dish and BATHE again! I thought I had warned them last time, but no, the info simply does not penetrate their tiny skulls! Towels, indeed!!!
I’m going to watch very carefully and if that feathered freak jumps in my private dish, her (his?) name is FANGO!!! That’s mud, in Italian and believe you me, I can make some mud pies very quickly to toss into their “bathtub” because that’s the only thing that will dissuade them, I’m sure.
Uh, oh, maybe they like mud baths…
NO, NO, then they’ll want SOAP! Okay, birdbrains, do you SEE what I can do to THREE TOYS AT ONCE? Take heed…
Whatever that means…
Be careful where and if those pigeons do their business in your water. I adopted one of my most loving cats that it took about 4 months to find out he had cryptococcosis from inhaling or ingesting pigeon poop. This looks like kitty acne but they can’t breathe through their noses and lose their sense of smell. He was very sick for months and even after it cleared up he would get lost outside because he couldn’t smell his surroundings. The sense of scent is very important to cats and dogs. Make sure where you drink from is clean from bird droppings.
OH, PATZY, thank you for this. Mama changes the water each time they “bathe” with their feet in the water and we never let poop happen. BUT…it could sneak up on us so thank you for keeping us alert. Dove poop…arggggh. And your poor kitties! But they got well, I hope.
MOL! When we had a birdbath (before we moved), the mom always said that the birds were looking for soap and towels. Silly birds!
And did you put them out? You guys are so hospitable!!!
Wow – Whadda they think – it’s Spa Loulou there!? Next thing they’ll be wanting snacks and after-spa Spritzes. Towels – what nerve!! Hmmm, I could help you with this problem – we could fire up the grill and with a little BBQ sauce……. ???
Oh, Mya, you have the right answers for EVERYTHING…yes, a la grille….un peu de vin rouge aussi.
You are very clever 🙂
Well, thank you but I’m NOT washing tourterelles towels, no way!
How sweet of you to put out a guest towel for your birdie friend. We think the birdie likes you and that’s why it keeps coming back.
THAT BIRDBRAIN DOESN’T EVEN MOVE WHEN I CA CA CA AT IT!!! Hmmm, maybe it does like me!
“Fango” really means “”mud”? Wow, never would have guessed that !
Ah, yes, the spa at Saturnia has fango floating in the water to rub on one’s body…ugh. Papa thought it was something else…….
