MORE LOUD NOISES COMING TOMORROW NIGHT….arggggh.
Well, today is the day that WWI was begun in 1914, long ago. Just mentioning a little history…
How time flies. And from today, August 14 through the 18 is the Festival of St Vincent in our little village. We have been out on the streets over so many years of celebration (well, not I, I was home holding the fort, and my ears!) and it seems strange to mama and papa that they will not be out sharing a glass of rosé with friends and watching what is usually a great feu d’artifice display!
But this year we stay put so I’ll have company. I’m sort of glad for that. I’ve gotten a bit edgy lately when mama and papa aren’t in the house because I want them to stay safe but they always have on those face covers and come back quickly, and they seem to be bathing as often as I do, haha.
Well, their paws, anyway.
Speaking of which, it’s time for my clean-up after my sweet little salmon dinner with Light kibble.
Wait a minute! LIGHT?
Guess that means we’re still trying to take off a few grams but I’m pretty happy in my little slimmed down body, so what the heck.
Goodness we remember your celebration from last year. Oh will this every end
Wow what a memory but yes it is a yearly event for my ears!
Sounds like it’s going to be noisy around you, Loulou!
Yet to be heard….well see.
Sorry your Mom and Dad will miss being out in the celebration but having them home will be nice and reassuring with the noise going on! Salmon sounds delightful for dinner. Enjoy and RELAX!
Hugs, Teddy
Yes, relax is the best instruction right now!
Wow – I don’t like loud noises either Loulou – But maybe you can all see the fireworks (without the noise) from your terrace? With a glass of wine (or water – decorated with nip). We don’t have that celebration here, thank goodness. But, hey – every day’s a celebration – of life. Mamma celebrated a bit too much with the limoncello last night though. Where’s the Advil…?
We can’t see anything but the opposite direction, the beautiful vine-covered hills, but what the heck. Been there done that and the mairie may have called it off. Will check. Peace and quiet and NO CROWD sound good to me.
Even Salmon Light sounds pretty tasty. Today marks the end of WWII officially also. Neither one ended all wars, did they ?
We thought the very same thing, Mary.
Yikes, we’re not fans of loud noises, no matter where they come from!
Well, the fireworks will be doozies. But fortunately we live around a big corner from them so the are muffled.
