(A beautiful winter sky, just to gaze upon)
Oh, boy, mama has spent way too much time over there in that lot with those DONKEYS, who have returned for the winter to make loud noises that sound like…well…donkey noises, ALL DAY LONG! Mama adores the donks (not hers, maybe that’s why) and spoils them rotten (well, just as she does you-know-who) with apples and grapes and donkey kibble, whatever that is.
Once she called their keeper because they were really hee-hawing so MUCH and she was afraid something had gotten to them in the night and he (half-asleep, thank you, mama) said, “Uh, Suzanne, they are fine – they are just…er…rowdy…”
I think I misspelled that. Same number of letters.
Mama felt so silly…
Okay, here they are, trying to mug for mama so she’ll give them more goodies.
See what I mean? Pure ham!
The normal one, haha. He hasn’t learned yet how to get to her.
Okay, okay, it’s Pompinette, the mule, but she/he/it is part of the gang.
Oh, just look at these sillies, ALL of them mugging for muesli, haha.
But, hey, they do NOT have eyes like THESE:
So there!
The Basset Hound at my house might be part donkey, ’cause she has very similar proportions. I’ve heard that Bassets, like donkeys, are stubborn, too. Tee hee hee.
But do Basset’s…er…do donkey things?
I think the Basset Hound at my house is part donkey, ’cause she has very similar proportions. And Bassets like donkeys can be stubborn, I”ve been told. Winks.
But do Bassets do donkey things…er…all the time?
Those donkeys aren’t as cute as you, Loulou.
Aw, shucks, but I would like to learn what their hee-haws mean!
oh they ARE CUTE! Hope they come to vote in our election this year BWWWWAHHH!!
Hey, that is a GREAT idea!
Ooooh – beautiful sky – and beautiful donks (and the mule Pompinette!).Mama says she misses seeing the donks walking down the street like a little parade – and unexpectedly seeing them grazing by the Chateau. We HAVE to come back to Collioure for a visit!!!
Now that would be so lovely, especially in winter when it is so empty and quiet, but after the wild life you live in Nice, there is not much to do except reflect, visit Spain and gaze at the sea.
Those donks are pretty darn cute!
Well, they ARE but cuter than I????
Yes, they are cute, Loulou, but your mama always comes home to spoil you rotten too. 🙂
Now how did you know that, haha?
Ah ! Winter, and a young donkey’s fancy turns to – muesli ?
Well, there’s no accounting for taste
You are SO funny. These donks are way too old to muesli, but hey, there’s no accounting for donks.
