La Chiusetta, quiet and green
Civita di Bagnoregio attached to another town by a walkway and full of kitties!
Hills and dales – whatever they are! But we sure went up and down them to get to this La Chiusetta farm where we spent two nights with papa’s son and family and grandkids—the little angels, haha. Actually, they were really angelic and great fun and I came out from under the bed immediately to see what was going on.
Food, for one. But when we got there, the lady running things said, oh, no cats in the rooms but in the apartment, it’s fine. Well, mama and papa had a room and the other family had an apartment and so they switched and as it turned out, there was a little apartment ready the next day for them and so the kiddoes spent the night with ME (and mama and papa), tickled to death to be with a kitty who just might jump on their beds in the night!
I didn’t. But they played with me and that helped my miffed mood from being put in the traveling box and then schlepped off to a farm! The next day they came back raving about a hill town called Civita di Bagnoregio, accessible from a long winding path from the nearby town of Bagnoregio. Mama says there were kitties everywhere (see below! even little cutes ones!) so naturally I was NOT happy when they got back without taking me.
The truth is I was really happy to stay under the bed in a cool room and not go on winding roads to see a slew of other kitties! Not my first choice for entertainment, but was a pretty wonderful place from the pictures mama showed me.
Even a Mexican Standoff!
I was a trouper. Or so they said. Except for that incident in the shower—but what is a kitty to do when SOMEONE forgets to flush MY john!!!
If only I could have gone outside at this miraculous place—so beautiful from the windows, but you know how we are when not acclimated to new environs. And here, there be dragons…
Maybe I’ll let mama try out that leash again…if I don’t eat it first.
It looks like a lovely place to stay Loulou, and especially nice because those street kitties have ear tips!

Jet & Mungo
Yeah, they were pretty cool and I wish I had more street smart. Smart being a kitty who waits for cataways from the tourists. They all look well-fed, I have to say.
Hi Loulou,
I love my halter & the retractable leash that attaches to it!
As soon as I hear them pick it up, I race over and purr as they put the halter on because I know it means that I get to go out and smell the roses and hear the birds. I can will send you a photo so you can take a look.
A big meow from me to you!
Binky
Oh, I wish mama had trained me when I was younger. I don’t think I could do it now, but we are going to try. The place we went was calling to me all day long. What a place for a kitty!!!! Do send a pic.
You are so fortunate to be traveling in such beautiful country. Jan has been practically glued to this computer since 4 pm Friday trying to get her email working again. She had no idea Gmail and Thunderbird have been at war and about to screw us over. 🙁
WHAT”S THUNDERBIRD? Shows where WE are in the techno world. And damn them for screwing Jan over, the s…ts.
