HEY, WAIT A MINUTE! She’s not coming to live with US, is she? Our bathtub is way too small! Uh, oh, does she eat kibble?
Well, today I am just going to have to ask you to look at a couple of sites that will warm your hearts and spirits, and I feel we need some of that warmth right now. Especially at holidays when so many feel dejected and depressed about all of the commercial buzz, the world’s troubles, and end of the year blues that just seem to happen, whether we like it or not.
Here’s the first BEAUTIFUL story.
Fiona, having a nap after feeding.
So are you in love or what? If only kitties could swim underwater, I would go visit Fiona NOW and do a few twirls with her and the onlookers!
And because that was a pretty long story, here is the second lovely site that Mya’s papa sent, about another kind of lovable creature.
And yes, the scenery is magnificent, but doesn’t that little red hen just make you want to HUG her?
Well, maybe not hug, but at least show affection at a respectful distance from that beak! Papa’s comment was, watching her resting on the tummy of the adventuresome young sailor, “Gee, I hope she doesn’t lay an egg!”
Wasn’t it fascinating that he would take a chicken with him on this amazing year-long adventure? Maybe, indeed, for the eggs!
Hey, this kitty has been on boats, too!!!
Porthole.
View from my porthole.
OH, Fiona, teach me to swim!!!
Cute hippo, but if it came to live at my house Mom would want to dress it up in clothes or something silly like that! MOL. Tickles for your tummy, Loulou!
Oh, I love your Mom. You know the hippos in Fantasia dressed in tutus? So cute.
Oh LouLou, we luv da last foto of you. You look so adorable. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Thanks for telling us about Fiona. What a heartwarming story.
Loulou, did you get seasick when you were on the boat?
OH, BOY, did I ever. I don’t if the sea is calm but even a few little waves make me go to sleep and stay there. Still, it’s better than two days in a car for 4 hours each. Sort of. I just do NOT like motion and mama doesn’t like to use pills but if you know of a safe one, I would take it.
What a beautiful story!!!! And look how they are smiling – Fiona definitely has star quality and is a total charmer. And BRAVO, zoo folks, who are loving and taking care of this little one – and the big ones. Sad for Fiona’s dad, but he sure left a wonderful legacy. And the chicken sea-mate story – Shows how all our furry and feathered (and finned) creatures we share the planet with should be respected. Well, mama still feels no guilt when she squashes a bug, but I’m working on that………….
YOUR MAMAN, TOO? My mama apologizes to an ANT when she has to get it off my food every now and then when it rains. And she cannot kill a spider for any reason, unless it’s one of those violin things that are deadly dangerous. But even so, she’d probably send it off to another part of the world instead of zilching it.
We’ve read about Fiona before but didn’t mind reading about her again. The video of the adventurer traveling with the chicken had beautiful scenery.
Wasn’t that amazing? And we think WE are cold sometimes!!
Wonderful videos ! But LouLou, I get the impression that you would not want to sail around Greenland for a year. Luckily your charms do not involve giving anything but love and snuggles !
Oh, how right you are. Nor Iceland. Well, that speaks for itself, right?
