(There’s a rodent in there, I just know it!)
Papa noticed that golfers are a bit like kitties. And I was watching tv with him when those guys stepped up to their balls, so to speak, and when they stand there, before whacking that little ball, they sort of wiggle their rears exactly the way I wiggle mine before pouncing on something. Maybe they learned that from watching kitties get ready to tear the throats out of something or other.
I also noticed that they walk around a lot on that green thing that’s sort of like a nice flat garden, and then, every now and then, there’s this big sandbox that looks really good to a kitty like me. Boy, just let me in there—that’s luxury, if ever I’ve seen it! And those guys go down in that sandbox and there’s a little ball there, always, and then they wiggle again and try to whack that thing out of the sandbox to somewhere else—who knows where?
But then if they have wiggled correctly, they get the ball out and you see it rolling up in the garden again toward what looks like a mouse or gopher hole. Oh, boy, I’ll bet that gopher is gonna be one surprised rodent when his door is blocked up.
The thing I don’t understand is why those anthros don’t use that huge, spacious sandbox the way we kitties do? Maybe they don’t know how.
Maybe they were never taught, or maybe their owners have taught them to use something else…as mine did.
Okay, okay, the truth: I’m still in phase 4.
It’s supposed to be open???
