OH, boy, a good morning stretch starts the day off so well. I think stretching is really the best thing a kitty can do to start working on the roly poly parts, don’t you? And make your anthro do them, too. In my case, mama is the one who…er…sort of agreed with the V-E-T about my figgah….
Next, try letting out a big energy-releasing MYOW!!!
Keep your muscles warm by stretching under some sort of blankie or poofie.
Now, alternate paws–One, two, one two. Do this 10 times and then repeat with back paws.
If excercising outdoors, try putting a piece of nip or a toy a distance away and then stretch, strrrrrretch for it 10 times.
A wall or hard surface helps to push against when you are finishing up with the back parts. Try not to get claws stuck in the rug.
Always conk out after strenuous exercise, making sure to elevate your back paws for good circulation.
If ANYONE, ANYONE AT ALL tried to tell me I am not working hard at this roly-poly thing, he or she or it is going to get WHAT FOR!

You are probably wondering why this photo is here. Well, I don’t know the date but mama has a birthday soon or has HAD a birthday and so, not knowing when it is, I made her this Loulou Special Grilled Cheese with my secret ingredient: lizard tails and mouse ears, chopped fine and mixed in with the mimoulette (French cheddar). I just know she is going to want the recipe–I have become VERY creative in the kitchen when she’s at market or off somewhere. Oh, and a little mayo before grilling.
I pretty, healthy cat lady you are! I think you should market your own workout/stretching DVDs. They would be a hit, fur sure! Winks!
I bet Mom found an alligator lizard in my backyard last week! If your Mom likes her sandwich, let me know and I can send the tail of our lizard for a different lizard flavor.
Oh, that would be wonderful for my cooking skills. I am assuming the tail is coming from a dead lizard, no?
when is Mama’s birthday????? Did we miss it? That sandwich looks amazing!!! LouLou you are an exercise Guru!! Mom and I need to learn from YOU! Love, Cody
Yes, well, sometimes I sort of overdue it. When I bathe, I exercise, and then mama and papa watch me until I have finished because when done, I keel over in the funniest posture and they crack up. So glad we can be entaining to those weird anthros, right?
Gee, Loulou – you are inspiring!!!!! What a routine there – I can see the centimeters melting away as you stretch and meeeeowwww!!!! But I think I put on about a kilo just looking at that yummy sandwich!! Now that I think about it, maybe that’s what mama and papa are doing when they throw my toys to chase and pretend it’s a “game” – it’s a ploy because they think I’m a bit rotund. WELL, I will make a point that they see that boutique (I will get mama to take a photo) – Belle et Ronde. That’s us, Loulou – Beautiful and round. Hmmmm, somehow sounds better in french…….but after all, we ARE French Girls, toi et moi!!!!!
Mya, you do not have a bit of gras on your little cute body. Don’t listen to THEM — EVER. Let’s you and I make a couple of grilled cheeses just for US. Leave THEM out of it. Num num.
Oh, you are so sweet to make your mama such a special sandwich. Happy birthday to her. Or happy belated birthday. Or happy upcoming birthday. (Did we cover all the bases?) We want your mama to feel appreciated.
Yes, she is now a year older but we don’t like to remind her too often…My birthday was yesterday too because we don’t know around here when I happened into the world so we’re just saying, July. She loved the minced mice!
You have a perfect figure. Great stretches. Maybe let your Mama stick to the cooking 🙂
Yes, I stretch alongside the kitchen to help.
Well, that sandwich looked very tasty until you listed the ingredients. But after all that exercizing, a cheese sandwich is just what’s called for !
Hey, I only spiffed it up a bit and mama loved the secret ingredients!
That was a darn good stretch routine! Happy Birthday to your Mom from all of us. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Love your blog hops and yes, stretching is VERY important to sleeping well.
