A question:
Well, we are interested in how you all are doing wherever you are and how your lives have changed, or not changed, and if you have discovered some interesting, or even uninteresting (!) solutions for coping with all of these new rules and regulations. Just curious.
Hey, I’m a cat, right?
For me and for mama and papa, this has been a real change in our social lives, for sure, since we used to have friends over for lunch or go out with friends, and I used to see Mya when her mama and papa lived here, which now they don’t, but they are coming to sit in the garden next Saturday and I have been collecting cherry tomatoes for Mya, haha.
And Aunty Lynne comes to the garden, too, or mama and she talk from her balcony or at a distance on our street. It’s pretty limited.
That’s about it for our social life! Maybe I’m just a born loner.
Maybe because of that, I’m more settled in than most. I’m happy right here on mama’s lap, just grooving.
But every now and again, something catches my eye to disturb my groove.
Just whose paws are those anyway?
Hey, don’t laugh, any distraction is welcome right now…
PS What we mean is politics never fix anything but just grow to fit their perceived space. Only science and medicine can solve this
Well, yes, don’t those OTHER people realize that they botched the time frame to COPE with this virus and people DIED because of that?
We fell very stuck. Not a lot to do and very tired of all this. We wish it would end already and those thinking a vote will do that are smoking something
Well, a vote for those who are intent upon fixing this, finding a vaccine, and beginning to help those afflicted, with monetary help, food distribution, housing, jobs and much more will certainly get this virus under control. Doctors do not believe that plasma is a CURE, not at all, it only helps severe cases and not all of those! What helps is distance, masks, and how we conduct our lives to help all of us avoid getting ill until the vaccine is tested and SURE. The vaccine that Trump is touting IS NOT TESTED. Facts are facts. And mama is definitely not getting an untested vaccine. NO WAY is she a guinea pig!
The mom doesn’t do much these days…but then again, she didn’t do much before the pandemic either. MOL! She did get together with a couple of friends a week or so ago. They tried to maintain their distance and stuff…she said it was good to see them.
Well, at least that! Mama only sees two people and one stands in her door and mama stays in the street and the other one comes only to the garden and sits far away. It’s pretty strange, if you ask me, but then, I don’t really want a bunch of feral visitors, haha. Not that mama’s friends are feral…
We are OK with not having a lot of “social” stuff right now. We just enjoy each other’s company and wave at a distance to our neighbors and those passing by on a walk. I enjoy all the attention I’m getting too !! Our lives really haven’t changed that much – except Mom and Dad for the very first year in ages aren’t going to another state or country for their anniversary. That’s something they DO miss – travel.
Hugs, Teddy
We are content, too, with waves and distant conversations and even travel isn’t missed that much. Funny how we just groove along…and I certainly do NOT miss travel, haha.
You look so comfy on your mama’s lap, Loulou. So cute. My large family who are spread all over, have introduced me to Zoom, so we’ve been “meeting” up that way. It’s not the same as actually seeing your loved ones in the flesh though. Sigh.
But yes, zoom is wonderful and works so well. We don’t even look that bad, as we do on video calls!
Granny is a loner too and so am I, LouLou, so for us it’s no big deal, we still can do everything we like. Now here’s a big Pawkiss on your sweet belly, and no bitey huh 😉 😸Pawkisses for a wonderful day🐾😽💞
Oh, we have company, being loners now for 5 months. And my biteys are only love nips. I am a very tolerant kitty when it comes to tunny rubs!😺
Loulou, I can’t wait to see YOU! OK, the cherry tomatoes are tempting…… but our lives have changed too. VERY few restaurants – maybe 3 times since this thing started. But we see a few neighbors and when we’re out, we wear masks (well, not me). But we’re getting out of town before the Tour de France hits this weekend. When tourists come – the numbers of coronavirus goes up. Duuuuh – ?! Seems the economy trumps (oooh – didn’t mean to use THAT word) lives. But we walked along the Promenade last night ad saw MANY fewer airplanes – a GOOD SIGN!!!!
Well, those little tomatoes are just waiting patiently for your little muzzle. And mama is making those crispy lentil thingys to go with a glass of vino. Well, not for us, you know, we’ll have a roll in the nip.
My hubby and I are hermits so isolating is no big deal to us. I do see my mom and niece and her kids still.
Well, you are so lucky to still have a mom. And nieces are nice.
Well, LouLou, we are retired so we do not go out very often – for cat food, human food and bird food (aka raccoon food !!) So it hasn’t made a lot of different. But we are getting a lot more reading done ! And thank goodness for drive-thru windows at the fast food places
Yes, drive-thrus are godsends. And we are glad you are staying safe as opening states has not been the best decision.
Our state is mostly open but our Mom and Dad are staying put, it’s still pretty contagious out there.
