Well, our sweet neighbors up the street (in France) brought a carved hummingbird back from Cuba and gave it to mama and papa and mama hung it right over where I lounge in the evenings and that is what I am looking at!
It looks as if it is flying, but how can a bird fly in ONE spot? This one does and makes me crazy trying to figure out why he/she won’t just take off and hum outdoors! But I have heard that hummers know how to hover (not hoover, Mya!) and this one definitely hovers right over my head all day long.
Still hovering…
Okay, THAT’S IT! I have a neck cramp…
LouLou we have the occasional hummer in our bird tv and we wonder how they do that anymeow
Yes, it’s amazing how they stay in one place with wings beating. Helicopter birdies.
LOL – well, Loulou as long as it doesn’t poop on your head, enjoy the art! We’re headed out to Italy for groceries and then to Menton for lunch. YUMMMM. The owner has a HUGE doggie that she brings sometimes – a bulldogue de Bordeaux. Probably Papa will need to hide his wine. I’ll be hiding my kibbles for SURE!
THAT DOGGY DRINKS WINE?????
Well, probably not. But Bulldogue de Bordeaux? Sounds like some kind of connoisseur to me, hehheh……
Mama is reading about Brittany again. Uh, oh…maybe bordeaux is better and not so wet.
Too bad it’s not a real hummer, Loulou. It would be fun to watch one of them flying around.
Well, we had them, er, THEY had them in LA but there are not many in France. This wooden one came from a Cuba visit.
What a wonderful gift for your mama. If you state up at it long enough you might hallucinate and see it moving. We suggest you limit your neck crick time.
Actually, mama sets it in motion and I go bonkers with fun!
Hummers are amazing ! But so are kitties !
Hmmmmmmmmm?
Reminds me of a kitten that just discovered a ceiling fan 😊
Wonderful image!
