Well, not exactly.
But it was a good pun for today’s blog, because frankly, I am exhausted from trying to help mama with this expo (over on Sunday–YAY!) and so I am copping out, whatever that is, and offering you today a bouquet from our garden. Mama says it is no work of hers that made these roses bloom. The very cold weather and the very wet winter and then very warm days did it all. They just growed, like Topsy.
So Happy Mother’s Day, all you mamas, a bit early but what the heck. A bouquet is a bouquet is a bouquet! And I’ll probably forget when the real date rolls around.
But this is mama’s favourite, grown for papa, and it’s called Sweet Love and SMELLS to high heaven. In a good way.
More to come after the HUGE rains on Saturday. I will be safe and warm in my favourite pose.
I can smell them from here! Such very beautiful Roses. I live in the city of Roses – Portland, Oregon ( I know one of many Rose Cities) and I think these are spectacular! Good job. Luvz, Patzy
OH, wow. Thank you so much. Of course it was I who “helped” grow these blossoms…a little patch in mama’s garden is my…er…spot.
Such pretty flowers, Loulou!
And I love to wander in them and sniff. Mama has this thing: If it doesn’t taste or smell, she doesn’t plant it, haha. Well, not rigid of course.
Wow ! What beauties ! (including you, LouLou !)
Hey, and I don’t have THORNS!!!
BEAUTIFUL!!! And your mama brings roses for the expo and they look so beautiful and brighten the gallery. NOT that it needs brightening with OUR drawings and paintings as stars of the show! But I do have to admit people are gawking at the roses TOO. Harrumph. Well, they are beautiful…….did you say huge rain Saturday?! Well, good for roses, bad for business!!!
Mya, you darling, they are gawking at YOU, you ferocious do-not-let-me-near-a-Jack-Russell-doggy! Mama told me that you bared your pretty little teeth at that crazy puppy but mama was very impressed with your territorial emotions. HEY, you are queen of that show, mama says, and yes, it would be better to SELL something. Maybe bite the ankles of looky-loos, haha.
Yummmmmm – I love biting ankles……uh oh, mama giving me da LOOK again…
oh my those roses are SPECTACULAR! Just stunning! (so is that belly MOL!) Made my day!
Well, you are a mama and mama’s day means bouquets.
Beautiful flowers! Happy Mother’s Day to your Mom from all of us.
Merci, Brian, and happy spring at last.
