This is MY exercise time  – 3 minutes max!

Well, mama was reading an article to me this morning that offered all sorts of things to do in isolation, some of which came from the astronauts who have to be quarantined when they return from space.

All of them say that the first thing to be in any isolation is calm.

But stay occupied! And of course, astronauts have much more to do when they get back from space than we do, but for papa and mama, isolation is at times inspiring and surprising.  Our sweet nephew in San Francisco is being taught by his son to play bass guitar, a lifelong wish being granted!  His son is a brilliant  professional guitarist, and mama thinks it won’t be long until this kid teaches his mama to sing backup!

So many new interests are being  born.

(Not for me, mama – I could care less..I have only one.)

For example, cooking, for mama, has gone overboard – whatever she can find anywhere will do for inspiration, so some wild things are appearing on our table.  She poured three soups into one yesterday and who knows what will go on our Sunday pizza!

We have arugula in the jardin for salads, and today the precious tomato seeds from Burpee Farms arrived, thanks to my aunty Barbara in Sonoma.

I think I’ll have to “water” them so they grow faster, haha.

And just imagine all of the clean, orderly closets that are happening all over the  place, not to mention all the stuff that will be going to thrift shops one day!

Putting one’s house in order, I think anthros call it, and I’ll bet that great book on cleaning up your dwelling and life is selling like hotcakes, whatever they are.

Mama loved this book, in case you wish to read something really satisfying.

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up

But above all we are thankful for a roof and food and hope so much those  without means or shelter will be helped by organizations.   Not easy with distancing, but huge thanks go out to workers in food stores and hospitals and to the police and firemen and everyone who is having to continue battling this pandemic. There are not enough thanks in the world for all of you. 💌

Your part is to STAY HOME. Merci.  And that’s okay with me, too.
