Well, I think that infers that SOMEONE or SOMETWO are home again, home again. Hence, the jiggity jig. I think. Whatever that is.
Anyway, what do I know? Two anthros came in the front door and one went out. That was that. Except the one who went out was MY FRIEND AND COMPANION WHILE THOSE TWO GALAVANTED AROUND SICILY.
Come to think of it, I may have been able to contact my ‘friends’ in Palermo, if you get my drift, and I could have made their vacation a bit uncomfortable…but of course I would never call on those guys to do ME any favors, haha. I want them far, far away from me or anyone else, for that matter.
But I digress. They had fun. They took pics. They ate too much. They swam in silky, clear water and probably got too much sun, but what the heck?
Here are a few pics mama brought back–I’m borrowing them for today’s hello, but pretty soon I’ll get back to MY PICS, which is as it should be.
Lovely people in Sicily, mama says, and lovely sea and lovely water and beach, a bit rocky, but the proper shoes help. Mostly, it is simply one of the most beautiful parts of Italy and the food is wonderful.
A cache pot from one of the beautiful ceramic shops in Santo Stefano di Camastra, where ceramic shops line the streets.
Torglione with tomato, mint, almonds, and eggplant, one of the specialties of the house where those little anthros live, the ones holding that ancient DOGGY!
YES, that one!
Our hostess on the beach of rocks.
Jumping off the rock (scoglio ballena–Whale Rock–named by the little anthros).
More lovely ceramics.
A flower-bedecked cemetery in Caronia, the town.
And more amazing ceramic vases, table tops and dishes.
A dip in the incredible water, but stones underneath!
Oh, no, that’s MAMA snuggling that MUTT!
Sweet Sicilian tomatoes and provola cheese. From the sniffs I took around mama’s cold pack, I think she brought back some. Num, num.
Mama in the water with hostess.
Music in the streets.
OH, NO, more doggies–but these are made of tiny seashells!
The terrace of Za’ Maria, a hotel in Caronia full of ceramic details! And a very good place to stay from which to take little trips around that part of the world. Also reasonable and with restaurant, banquet dining room and lovely terrace over the sea.
A quiet evening on the rocky beach, waiting for the sunset.
When you look at sunsets, watch for the flash of green! Mama and papa saw it.
Oh MeOW LouLou, you shouldn’t be temptin’ peeps dat way. Everythin’ is bootyful. Mommy luvs Italian foods. She ain’t no Italian, but you’d think she was. She can make da bestest gravy. It’s really good on some pasta or bread. And she luvs cheese. She’s salivatin’ just lookin’ at those plates. Da doggy’s really cute. Even da ones of sea shells. Have fun. You really look happy to be with your mommy again, and she looks thriled to be back with you.
Luv ya’

She is more than thrilled and I’m sort of sliding into our old routine. But as of Monday, I have to get on the big rummbler again to go to my garden in France. Pray for smooth sailing.
Oh LouLou, there’s no place like home and we’s sure you’ll do just fine. But we will be sayin’ some purrayers fur ya’ anyways. Have fun, and just think, soon you’ll be back home with your mommy and daddy all to your self.
Luv ya’

Yes, and I can finally get some REST!!! This traveling around is too traumatic for a little kitty.
Beautiful place ! It looks like your humans had great time ! Purs
With those little grand anthros they always have a good time. But I AM HERE WITHOUT THEM. At least they are back now so I can protest the next time.
Loulou, are you near a beach where you live ? The pictures are very beautiful and it is enjoyable to visit there via the pictures. I know you must be so happy to have your mama and papa home again at last.
Yes, we are near a beach in France but the beach you saw in my blog was Sicily where mama was and sent me a photo. YES, I AM VERY HAPPY. I think….
Loulou, thank you for letting your humans share their photos. Mom and dad have been to Sicily, and Mom says it is indeed gorgeous with nommy foods. And she too loves the beautiful ceramics. We have several pieces that our humans have brought home. We are happy your humans had a great vacation but glad they are back home with you. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Oh, they wanted a big bowl for the patio but could not find the lemon theme they wanted and so mama brought back little dishes for the bathroom but guess what? NO KIBBLE DISH FOR ME!
I think I’m going to steal the bathroom one….
I am glad they had fun, but I am sure your Mama is happiest when home with you.
You betcha she’s happier with ME! RIGHT, MAMA? And PAPA?
It looks like your humans had a great time, Loulou.
Well, they love those little grandanthros, heaven knows why, little tiny people running around everywhere and playing with scraggly poodles, but what can a kitty do?
Oh, how nice to have mama and papa back with you again. However, they better share some of that cheese they brought home with them.
They gave me some last night. Num, num. But what I really wanted was all those fish they keep talking about. Now why can’t they put those in the suitcase, I ask you?
