I think someone is at the door!
Well, mama says Jack Frost is going to visit us, and she and papa were out there putting a big lamp under our lemon tree, and then they put BIG, BIG plastic things over the fava beans and the lavender and weighted the cover down with bags of mulch and rope and heaven knows what they were doing, but Jean, our neighbour was in his HUGE garden putting green blankets on everything…strawberries, lettuce, carrots, you name it. So I got the picture and I’m pretty sure that Jack just may live up to his name! Brrrrrrrr…
Thank heaven mama harvested almost all the 300 lemons that were on our tree and they are safe and sound in a 9-degree garage, so they’re pretty happy.
Also because on Thursday mama and papa are going to Figueres, not far from here, to score some booze with which to make mama’s limoncello. I am not invited.
Fine with me. They’ll be in a CAR–arggggh.
I will snooze happily on my new kitty pad (heated!) from Art of Paws and love every minute of it. Tomorrow I will write more about it after I have slept on it once and felt what it does for my little back legs and shoulders. But the funny thing is–tonight in the garden with mama and papa I suddenly broke into a streaking mood and blasted across the garden with whatever that thing right behind me is that chases kitties and about which they have no idea but that makes them go like a bat out of hell, whatever that is, and so I’m wondering if I have troubles at all with my joints?
Still, my warm, wonderful heated pet mat feels really good, especially after this visit from Jack.
PS This is NOT me, but because this kitty was a pretty good facsimile and because I won’t receive my mat until tomorrow, I just went ahead and put this in to give you a nice picture of the present mama and papa are giving me.
As always LouLou, you be lookin’ gawjus. Glad you’re enjoyin’ your heated mat. Ain’t it just pawsum? Mommy’s eyes just bugged outta her head seein’ all those lemons. OMC 300? That’s a lot of lemons to be sure. We’d be all puckered up ifin we had that many. MOL Big hugs
Luv ya
Dezi and Raena
Yes, they do pucker up the lips, that’s for sure.
Oh Loulou! We’re so glad you got a heated mat. Isn’t it the best?? We’re gonna need ours too because we’re supposed to get some snow again tomorrow. Yuck!
If I could just get papa to move……
I bet you will love that mat, LouLou. I have read other reviews of it and those kitties love it. It will help your arthritis, but you may be so comfortable you may not want to get up anyway.
It is really comfortable but I keep looking around for knees!
I’ve heard about those heated mats! I was trying to win one myself. Oh I’m sure you’ll love having one. I can’t wait to hear all about it from you. I think Jack Frost needs one too! Tee hee hee.
GREAT idea.
Lucky YOU, Loulou – we know about COLD here, too, as we’re having snow again today, and Ppapa drags me outside to the Big Concrete and Grass toilet – which they call the neighborhood. Abut 4 times a day. I find that a bit excessive, but Papa says I need the exercise to stay in shape. Harrumph. And now you will have the heating pad!! And not to have to go to Figueras in the car. But mama says we will have to go to Menton next weekend – for lemons – and booze across the border for her limoncello. Those lemons are BEAUTIFUL – that had to be work!!!
It was fun to watch those lemons come off the tree. We were all tired but happy, as they say, whatever that means. I’m sure we’ll be happier after the limoncello is made, haha.
Oh, that is going to feel sooooo good, a warm mat on a cold night. Enjoy! Hope your mama and papa have a good trip to buy the booze for their lemons. What fun!
Well, if we could ship it we would, but there are laws…..unfortunately.
That is a lot of lemons. Keep warm.
I am cosiest between mama’s knees, actually, or papa’s but I do love the mat.
