My Sunday selfie. Meditating on Earth Day among one of our earth’s beauties…
We are so fortunate in our little village to have an amazing communal jardin.
Villagers have contributed to the original idea of Maryline Buckingham, who started a permaculture garden on a large, empty lot donated, with Maryline’s encouragement for the purpose by the sympathetic owner. Maryline is a whirlwind of action, and on the website you can see her amazing project, the jardin Denat, named after the family whose empty lot has become a magical place for children and adults, meditation, bounty, and just plain pleasure for mind and body.
This is one of the sweetest gardens we have ever seen, contributing to Earth Day in so many ways.
If I were allowed to be there, I would be happy to contribute my…er…vital bodily fluids to enrich the soil, but it’s a bit far for me to walk right now.
Mama helps with the aforementioned Phillis de chanvre mentioned in yeserday’s blog, but I am sure that my small contribution might grow a lovely broad bean or two.
At least I can send good kitty vibes to our magnificent garden and tend my own in my kitty way.
Is anyone looking? Okay, here I go…
That is an amazing community garden…like a refuge from all the cares of the world.
Your ‘contributions’….tee-hee!
It really is amazing and so is the founder. There was only dirt there before and not very good dirt!
It’s good to stop and smell the flowers, Loulou.
And such fun in this amazing garden!
Nice of you to make a “contribution” to the soil in your garden Loulou…..!!!!
Hugs, Teddy
Yes, well, I’m pretty good at it, especially in the roses, my fave place.
Now THAT is cute, and what a lovely garden! Some of the stuff I just can’t grow here the soil is a nightmare of heavy clay!
Order some of that mulch that mama uses, plus Blood and Bone granules, plus bury all your kitchen garbage and your soil will be wonderful.
What a beautiful garden ! Your selfie is nice too !
Merci, Ms Mary, and yes, Maryline did a wonder garde for our community.
You look adorable hidden in the garden plants, Loulou.
AWWW…merci, Eastside kitties, I adore the garden.
Beautiful garden, but nothing is as pretty as you. XO
Oh, shucks, Ms E, merci, merci.
