And this is the first (early!) rose of spring, and I have to take a bit of credit for it, called Sweet Love. Isn’t that a nice one to bloom first for all of us?
When I say ‘credit’…uh…I wish to explain that my presence in my rose garden (a few weeks ago) demanded that I…er…help that sweet rosie grow by…uh…watering.
He understands who understands.
Now I shall make all of the rosies grow!
Have a lovely Easter with family and friends and chocolate eggs and deviled eggs and even green eggs with ham!
I shall be commenting from my comfortable garden residence, observing the antics of those crazy anthros through the kitchen door….more to come.
OMC…mama’s making SALMON in there to have Easter with a friend who needs easy-chew food right now because of teeth work. I’m drooling. Wait a minute, I’m not drooling at all! I can THINK salmon and I taste it right away, haha.
So cool being a spirit…
Hope your Easter was wonderful!
Lovely, roses blooming.
Watering the garden is an important job – I bet you’re good at it! That first rose in the garden came just in time for your Mama and Papa’s wedding anniversary……good timing.
Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam
It was rather good timing, Teds, and I wish I could send you a rose or two.
Water away if it has results like that.
A blessed and beautiful Happy Easter to you!
Merci, messymimi, and yes, it DOES have results but maybe mama’s rose food helps a bit haha.
Happy Easter from all of us at Brian’s Home!
Merci, Brian’s Home and today is the Little Easter along with you know what…don’t let anyone pin a fish on you!
The roses will all be more beautiful because of you. Happy Easter! XO
Merci, Ms E and in Italy it is Pasquetta, the little Easter, a holiday. Let’s celebrate again!
Have a good Easter and that rose is exceptionally fine isn’t it.
Merci, Marjorie, and it is not easy to find. Mama did some cuttings and we have five now in case they are disappearing from the rose world. They have the strongest perfume of any rose, mama says.
“I come to the Garden alone/while the dew is still on the roses…” Happy Easter indeed LouLou.
This made mama so teary and happy, too, as she sang this song with her grandmother when she was small. How do you know these things, dear Mary?
You belong among the wildflowers
You belong somewhere close to me
Far away from your trouble and worry
You belong somewhere you feel free
You belong somewhere you feel free
datz tom petty

Oh, Gidget, mama loves Tom Petty and those words are perfect for what is happening now in mama and papa’s memory, but I am literally in the garden so we all feel close and together. Thank you so much.
What an exquisite rose! Ours are not quite ready to start flowering yet.
Joyeuses Pacques to you.
Purrs,
The Chans
Merci, The Chans. It smells devine! Sweet Love it is called and that is what we feel around here all the time.
Such a beautiful rose!
Your Mama and Papa must always be thinking of you when they look at it, LouLou.
Happy Easter, beautiful Angel.
And to your Mama and Papa also.
Merci, J-Cats and have a lovely “little Easter” today, which is pasquetta in Italy, a holiday also.
