(Thank you, kilban cats)
Aloha today. Whatever that means.
Well, they’re off again but only for one night and then back to wherever it is they are.
Maybe they’ll bring me a hula skirt or some macadamia nuts. As far as I am concerned, they are BOTH nuts!!! They are saying hello to papa’s sister after the hello to mama’s brother. It is family time, which is really important. (Hey, I’M family, too.)
But on another tack, whatever that means, mama wrote me something about looking around for little things in junk shops and I wonder, are any of you out there second-hand-store junkies, so to speak? Or antique shop aficionados? Boy, THEY are.
Mama says she loves finding treasures and imagining the life that it came from and how it was used and loved and a whole story opens up with found objects. One day mama saw a tea cup in a junk store and it was turned upside down and underneath was a lovely sterling silver ring with a huge oval stone that turned out to be petrified wood! Unusual. Can’t send a picture because it’s there and I’M HERE, as you well know, right?
But I wander around vicariously with them in these far-out places (there are many I Austin, I hear), and there is always something amazing waiting for the right owner—in this case, two great chairs that my anthros have been looking for for ages to replace some $19 straw temps they purchased just to have somewhere to sit!
I’m sure this is very boring to everyone, but they are pretty great chairs for very few smackers. Here’s the pic they sent:

Chairs. Duh.
Now on to serious things.
Like my dinner and my nap.
HAHA just kidding…This is more like it:
Just kidding again…my “sitter” gives me fois gras!
Haha, just kidding again. Enough of this. I’m outta here.
I do love my paws up…
Our mom loves going to antique stores and looking at old stuff. She thinks those chairs are pawsome.
Yes, they were a find. And the store had all sorts of other goodies, including two more of those chairs but one was discoloured and one was stained. They were very reasonable.
Every chair means there will be a lap for the cat to adorn. So stylish chairs are a good thing.
Our apes love to have a furtle around junk shops, alas they never find a roast chicken to bring home for us. Which is a terrible shame for us
Luff Mungo & Jet
I love ‘furtle’!!!! That’s my new word for the week! Yeah, hardly any chickens anymore…but they saw old cans of food from the 40s for sale. No way, Jose.
Guess the humans are having fun! Are they shipping those chairs home or only the photos?
Well, only the photos right now, but as Mungo from everycat said, ‘more chairs to sit on laps in”….
