HEY, if this isn’t nirvana I don’t know what is.
Well, I don’t know if your family goes off and leaves you on some days and there you are, all alone and by yourself and wishing you had one other friend to play with (or not, maybe just glance at occasionally) and so your mama, wanting the best for you always, turns on the CD player and suddenly you are in nirvana or at least on the way as flutes and chanting start up distantly and then get a bit louder and then subside and all of your little stressed body begins to relax into mindfulness (whatever that is) and you’re deep into another world where maybe Ravi Shankar will show up and play a raga or some of that outer space music will come on after the flutes, and papa says, “LOULOU, you don’t want to hear all that screeching, do you?”And mama says, “No one is screeching, this is not operatic music, this is Loulou’s meditation music, which she LOVES and since we’re out all day today, she’ll feel better with it on.”
And actually, papa is just kidding and fooling around, and the truth is, I really do go off into another world of calm and cool. Does your family leave music on for you? But more important, does it WORK?
I think maybe I stay up more than most kitties…I sleep all night long and then I go outside and wander around and then sleep until dinner, but after dinner I go outside again and wander for a few hours until my sheets are turned down, haha.
If only they’d leave a chocolate on the pillow!
Hey; I said ‘chocolate’, NOT chatchka!
But I’d be happy, too, with Aida. Just leave the elephants at home.
That is sweet of them to leave music on for you. My cats have Grammie come stay with them if we will be gone for more than a half an hour so they never get music unless I am cooking and listen to Sinatra.
Wow, they get Sinatra!! Maybe mama should try me out on that one. But half an hour? Mama leaves me rarely for more than a few hours but I’m asleep anyway and in the house and when they go away I have my Kitty Whisperer, Sue.
The mom leaves a radio on in Zoey’s room thinking Zoey likes to hear the music and people talking. But we don’t know if it really makes a difference or not.
Well, if it’s a heavy-duty soprano, it sometimes really ought to be turned to LOW!!! But if it’s a good one, it’s fine with me. My eyes sort of close and I relax into the notes.
My kitties and I frequently fall asleep to a baseball broadcast. In its own way, that is soothing and measured too !
HEY, I do that with soccer matches!!! Maybe I’ll try baseball.
We’re going to have to talk to Jan about this. We’re evidently underprivileged. Jan never leaves music on for us.
Yes, but she sings, no?
Mommy leaves da teevee on fur us LouLou. Course there’s music on da teevee and our church is on 24/7. We purrfur gospel music over all others. Well except maybe mommy’s made up songs fur us. Yep, those are our favorites. Anyways, glad you had an enjoyable day.
Luv ya’

Oh, I LOVE gospel music and could hear that forever! I’ll bet your mama’s singing would soothe the savage beast.
Aaaaaaaw Fanks LouLou. We like to think so. Least it calms us.

Hey, your mama can come here anytime and sing to ME. Make that US.
