I wish more neighborhoods were like the one in this article…
Well, mama and papa were reading this very uplifting article about a black man who was afraid to walk in his own neighborhood, but it’s not what you think. It was originally HIS neighborhood, after all, but things changed.
I hope it’s okay to put these links in, but there seem to be so many lately that are positive and a lift for the spirits, and we think that matters, especially with all the new cases being reported in the US.
Another lovely piece was about Yo Yo Ma, the cellist, and I just couldn’t resist. He sounds like such a sweet person, and is so self-effacing, whatever that is. Not sure kitties have that trait, haha…
Anyway, enjoy his beautiful Bach piece and have a quiet moment today full of artistry.
For me, this day was way beyond anything I had seen…winds of 140 kph and I was practically blown out of the garden where mama was visiting at a distance with Aunty Lynne. THEY were almost blown away so we all went our separate ways to recover. Yo Yo Ma helped…
THAT WIND ALMOST BLEW ME OFF MY COUCH!!!
You can add as many links as you want, Loulou. It’s great to know that in these troubled times there are good souls out there.
Link away, dear Loulou…we need uplifting stories more than ever. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I love hearing that links are okay because we love reading happy thoughts! Thank you.
Hold on, LouLou…don’t let the wind blow you away from that couch…MOL😸Pawkisses for a Happy Sunday🐾😽💞
They better weigh you down with something if you go outside again, Loulou.
Well, sometimes mama thinks I weigh enough to weight myself down, haha.
Wow – a beautiful story, but it shouldn’t be like this. Hopefully humans will evolve and prejudice because of skin color or origin will go away. Uh oh – maybe I should work on my prejudices – Mama giving me the “look” – big dogs make me afraid and I get in attack mode. I will work on that……. BUT I like kitties and birdies! And even rats are OK. I saw some HUGE ones in Genoa and thought they were cute.
Wait a minute, Mya. A CUTE RAT??? Maybe ask mama what she thinks about that…or bring her one, the way kitties do!
Hang on to your hat Loulou, oh, you do need a hat!
I have to find the one with ear cutouts….
Gosh, all the wind storms around here missed us – which is all right with us. Hope things have settled down !
All quiet on the French front…but now lightning and rain tomorrow!!! It never settles on one thing.
