I’m just about to head under the bed…just practicing my snooze.
Well, not exactly a piazza, but a patio! Mama strung some fairy lights the other night and surprised us, inspired by Christiane, our neighbor up the street who decorated a whole tree on the rue with ornaments and lights.
In our little town there are small trees 🌲 dotting the landscape every few blocks and then someone from the Mairie ties red ribbons on them, very pretty and easily done when everyone is so busy being at home in this FRIGID weather.
I am, as always, under the bed snuggled into my answer blanket.
But…I have always wondered, “What was the question?”
Your lights on your patio are very pretty and we think we can see their reflection on your blanket.
We only have our tiny tree, in the living room window…though in our town, there are very elaborate displays at some homes.
Oh, we love tiny trees. This year is the firt we’ve had with an odd tree, but it’s awfully cute, a present from Mya’s family years ago, but thank heaven we have its warm lights.
It’s always good to see you LouLou. You know how to nap.
Love the lights. Beautiful. Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect day, LouLou. My best to your mom. ♥
You are always welcome. Merci for stopping by.
Those lights make everything look magical.
And now there are more in the front. But they don’t photograph too well because of the street lights.
The patio looks BEAUTIFUL with the lights – kind of magical. Our neighborhood is looking festive too. Mom and Dad usually drive around town and some neighborhoods before Christmas to see all the lights. We have SOME decorations outside…people can see our tree through the library window, we have wreaths on the garage windows with electric candle lamps inside the wreaths and fairy lights on our porch railing. Some people go CRAZY with lights but we like that!!! The main thing is I hope Santa Paws can plainly see my house on Christmas Eve now that we have some lights….I’d hate for him to pass us over because it’s too dark to see us!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, Teddy, you can pawn your paws that Santa will find YOUR house!!!! You may be living with him and not even realize it, haha. Well, his helpers…
Mom tells me not to worry – she KNOWS Santa will visit me…..she says she has “inside information” !!
Oh, your mama has LOTS of inside information, you can pawn your paws, Teddy.
Those fairy lights are so festive, Loulou. I was sorry to hear about your mama losing her mama’s ring on her visit to SA. She can tell me the story when she she visits again over a fine SA wine.
We look for your wonderful vino and often found it in LA. A great country! And wouldn’t that be a nice chat?
OH SO PRETTY!!!!! A balcony just in front of our apartment is blinking at night – and changes colors! We have nothing but our little tree with the lights (like yours)! BUT all the stores have Santas and toys!!! One has a little doggie with a leash in his mouth that moves – I am fascinated!
Oh, Mya, a fake friend might be just the thing. He won’t eat your kibble!
You’re SO RIGHT!!!!
Oh, Mya, we see eye to eye, that’s for sure. Or muzzle to muzzle…
Very pretty lights. XO
Well, as I mentioned, it is a minimalist decor, haha.
Haven’t heard of an answer blanket before, Loulou!
If you sleep on it, do you learn everything through osmosis?
Ha ha you’re probably too young to know what an answer blanket is but it’s a blanket that was invented some years ago that supposed to keep you warm and cool and everything else and answer all of your problems of being hot or cold.
The neighbors catty-corner each have lots of lights in their front yards – so pretty to see from our front window when it gets dark (so early !)
We used to drive around the neighborhood and look at all the lights!
Nice fairy lights!
Merci, minimalism is our middle name.
