The word ‘listen’ contains the same letters as the word ‘silent’.”

And today in my garden I began to listen to the mulch and all that is growing under it that will make more roses and tomatoes and lettuce and coriander and lavendar and rosemary and tarragon and fenugrek and….uh…let’s get to the real stuff: NIP!!
Being silent when someone is telling you something, and using your ears, is a real art.
Tell us something you are thinking about lately.
Are you sad? Happy? Worried? Lonely?
I am listening…
Oops! My comment went in the wrong place, it was not meant to be a reply to your replly, excuse me. My computer is behaving badly!
Pas de souci, we didn’t even notice! Just love hearing from you any whichaway.
Listening is very hard for many. It is an art.
I’m happy and am looking forward to the new day.
I’m worried about how angry everyone seems to be.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥
I know what you mean…but I think many anthros are simply scared! Scared of losing democracy, losing help for the environment that needs it so desperately, losing money to the wealthy who pay low or no taxes (!), losing lower medical care costs, losing FREEDOM. Scary.
I always listen……but I hear different things than my Mom and Dad do. They have BIG things to listen to and I have little things (like bugs and skinks) to listen for. My Mom says she would like to have only SMALL things to listen for now that she’s older!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, yes, smaller things to listen to…like a sweet kitty’s happy meow! YOURS!
I do tend to meow in happy fashion but as for it being smaller – while my meow can be VERY quiet (and usually is like a whisper) my own SELF is far from small! TEE HEEEEEEEEEE
Hugs, Teddy
Ha ha ha, you are one form-ible kitty, Mr T. Size matters, haha, and you don’t need a big voice.
Good garden listening and awareness, Loulou! I’ve had a great day with the cats, but I am worried about getting things done that are hard for me to do now.
Oh, Ms Leah, we wish you good health and strength during the summer. Wish we kitties could do more for you.
I’m thinking of all the house chores I haven’t finished yet LOL!
Ha ha having a house, mama says, is constant chores that never seem to get done…you are not alone.
Thanks for your comment, Loulou. We wanted to tell you that the Big V is our Percheron gelding who is on loan to a friend who does carriage rides in the beautiful Normandy port village of Honfleur. He has been with the Poupounette Gang since he was 17 months old, and he recently turned 15.
Purrs,
The Chans

Oh LouLou – so much to think about – and to try to clear from your mind to give yourself a few moment’s peace. Listening to the Earth as it speaks is always a good thing.
Oh, a brilliant suggestion, as usual, Ms Mary, from your creative mind. I listen with mama sometimes but I’m able to listen longer….
That is so true and why we have 2 ears and only one mouth. XO
OUI, oui, that is a perfect way to say it.
