Just trying to think up some new activity…
Well, France is now closed down, thank heaven. Better late than never.
But it is so important to STAY HOME because you do NOT know who has the coronavirus and can infect you and others. It is called “stealth” infection, and much of the Chinese problem was attributed to thousands who had no idea that they were carrying the virus and as a result, contagious.
And yes, our lives as we stay at home will be changed daily, sometimes interestingly, sometimes not, but this kitty is curiously watching mama and papa turning into Boy and Girl Scouts right before my eyes.
They’ll probably be rubbing sticks together pretty soon…
But please try to stay home.
Read, write, draw even if you can’t (!), cook, sing, organize your closets (mama is tearing into ours with glee), mend clothes, figure out what you can live without (just not kibble, mama!), garden, get rest, drink lots of water, and know that none of us is finding this easy.
It’s hard, it’s more than hard, it’s sad and scary and emotionally upsetting, especially if you are alone, but contact your friends and family, talk to those you haven’t seen in awhile, keep your and their spirits up, because we are all in this together and only we can stop it it by not spreading it around. This link has an info newsletter, 24/7.
You know, some wonderful things just might come of these new connections, these changes in routine. Maybe we will all become more tolerant, less demanding of one another, less judgmental. (Hey, so we’ll all get skinny!)
I repeat, call up your friends, because they, too, are going through the same uncertainties, the same apprehensions, the same worries.
A pandemic has no friends. You do.
Hey, was that my cell?

If you missed hearing this beautiful song, here it is again.
I love this, Loulou. Yes, we must all just be there for one another as much as possible by staying in contact; but remotely. Colouring in is another great way to stay sane. Stay safe everyone.
Oh, sorry for those thoughtless self-serving anthros, but for every one of them there is a YOU, I’m sure. Wonderful idea to color, will try that. MAMA-where are my paw paint?
What a disaster! Just glad WE can’t get this thing, Louou! Mama’s cooking, painting, watching movies and series on tv and they take me for walks. Now 3 times a day instead of 4. And I’ve learned I have to do all my “stuff” quickly! Hardly anyone is out, so that’s a good thing. Nice has become like a ghost town. Twilight Zone.
OH, you smart, quick pooper!!! See how we learn things in crisis. Love to you three and new adventures of the mind and body at HOME.
Thanks for the uplifting message, Suzanne and Loulou!! We must not give in to fear and panic – that serves no one and weakens our immune systems!!
Just want everyone to know that you have enabled me to maintain my self-imposed 14 day quarantine after i returned from Los Angeles by bringing me groceries and prepared meals almost every day – i’ve never earen better!!!
Oh, thank you, you darling neighbor of ours. And you are so welcome. Mama had such fun having a real live guinea pig just up the street! Maybe she would let ME be one, too…..num, num, clam sauce on spaghetti!!!!!
I am enjoying staying in with my kitties. I hope this goes away soon for the safety of all though.
Oh, to stay in with multiple kitties….HEAVEN. Have courage, Ellen, because this is not going to be over tomorrow.
The mom has stocked up on all sorts of stuff and is trying to stay home now as much as possible. Unfortunately, the dad has his business to attend to…so he still goes to work.
Dad needs to figure out how to be HOME. He may be around others who DO NOT KNOW they are infected and even if you know someone has it, you MUST keep far away. Oh, I hope he can come home and while he is with others and if he gets exposed, he brings it home to you all so it’s best if all of you can be home together.
Encouraging words LouLou – thank you so much ! (Mama & Papa too!)
Well, you are so welcome as always and mama is actually sort of fascinated at the fact that she has NINE hours now that are not filled weekly with obligations. Will keep you posted on what we come up with to do. I found that snoozing is the best time-filler.
I’ll gladly stay home and away from any Vet visits!
Ha, ha, you always cut to the chase, Brian!
