I’ve looked all through the bed covers! No sound!
Well, I wondered why it’s so quiet around here lately, so I asked papa and he said, “Loulou, your mama has lost her voice”, and I’ve been thinking about this all day. As in, WHERE does one lose a voice, and HOW does one lose a voice and I thought, well, maybe it’s…er…not quite being a spring chicken and one tends to misplace items, voices included.
Maybe.
Papa also said, I think, that mama had a horse in her throat. Not easy, I can tell you! No wonder she can’t talk.
So I have been looking all over the house all day long to find mama’s voice but to no avail (whatever that means). I think I’ve been looking in the wrong places, because it seems to me that when a kitty is searching for a voice, that kitty can expect to hear “HEY, kitty, here I am” and thus be found, no?
No, huh?
Well, let’s hope she finds it soon or I won’t know when she calls me for supper. For instance, right now it is my dinner time and NO one is calling out to get me interested.
Luckily I’m interested on my own. But I’m going to keep looking because it’s weird around here when mama has no voice, and we know all too well that when mama DOES have a voice, it is HEARD, haha.
I thought I saw it floating by and tried to catch it, but evidently voices can fool you.
Off to search again…
MOL, we hope your Mommy finds her voice soon. Apparently the stealer of voices is going around because Mommy’s keeps disappearing, although we notice when she drinks some Breath Easy tea it comes back.
HEY, I’m going out for that NOW!!!
Oh my. I am just picturing your mama mouthing the words and no sounds coming out! Is that what it means when the French say “un chat dans la gorge”? Uh oh! Well, mama says drugs and hot tea will do wonders but will just take some time. In the meantime, Loulou, you can hone your lip-reading skills – and be extra sweet and snuggly!!
I’m not sure that what I’m reading from mama’s lips isn’t Wait until dinner time, Loulou. No treats yet. Loulou, why are you myowing so loudly? Loulou, lie down, lie down witcha mama! LOULOU, WHY ARE YOU PULLING ALL THE SHHETS OUT OF THAT LINEN CLOSET AGAIN?
Oh Loulou when I saw Lost but not found my heart skipped a beat because I was briefly afraid you were lost. Thankfully not! So sorry your mama has lost her voice – that happened to me two weeks ago and last a couple of days and was gone. Of course I am in Pennsylvania and you are across the big ocean so it could not be the same thing but maybe a similar thing. Hopefully by now it has come back to her. Perhaps she could bang a pan to call you to eat, in the meantime. Hahahahaha
OH, KAREN, I LOVE THAT. And when she’s done, I CAN BANG ON IT IN THE MORNING TO WAKE THEM UP TO FEED ME. A wonderful idea.
Love that!
So glad.
We usually celebrate around here when Jan loses her voice. We can do whatever we want and she can’t yell at us. But you are obviously missing your mama’s voice so we hope she finds it real soon! Can’t have you missing any meals because you can’t hear the dinner bell.
Hope your mama gets over this soon!
Well, I think she is goingto bang on a pan, but you Funnies had better have RESPECT for that Jan of yours. She’s the one who lets Santa in late at night when the chimney is blocked.
I hope your mom gets her voice back. How sweet of you to look for it. 🙂 XO
Well I found a part of it this morning, but so much of the rest of it is still hiding.
We’re keepin’ your mommy in our purrayers LouLou. Hope she feels better soon. Good job helpin’ her hunt fur her voice thi’. We’re sure she ‘purreciates it. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
I’m still looking but I think I have an idea.
Are you sure Papa said she had a horse? Many people lose their voices because of a FROG in their throat. That should be easier to catch than a horse, but maybe not as easy to see. Check your water dish !
