What was that? I keep having these deja vus!
With apologies to Fellini—-
Well, mama is on an Italian film kick again, specifically Giulietta of the Spirits, which if one of her favorite films of all time. I watched it tonight with mama and papa and man, that guy can really shoot film.
Not to mention the music by Nino Rota, which I’ll be purring all day tomorrow…
But the mood, the colors, the costumes, the sets—even I was impressed and not much impresses me, as you well know. Still, I loved that actress whose eyes are so sweet and there was even a kitty in the first scenes but it was her no-good-lying-cheating husband who was stroking and petting their kitty, poverina. She had no idea what a schmuck was fawning (so to speak) over her. In fact, most kitties in movies don’t have an idea of how they are making the film better and enhancing the scene and enriching the plot!!
And I’m not even sure they get PAID!!!
Today, on the Catblogosphere, there was a request for big, fat kitties to be in a show that a woman is producing about big, fat kitties and dogs and pets in general who are overweight. She would love you to contact her at http://www.blog.catblogosphere.com/casting-call/
if you are interested in being in her show. Hey, why not? Pets do have weight problems, after all, just like anthros, and this sounds pretty interesting.
But I am off the track here. Giuglietta Masina was an amazing spirit herself, and this film was such a star in her star-studded crown. In my humble kitty view, it was one of the first women’s liberation films, and when you think it was made by her husband, it’s even more overwhelming.
I think I’ll have to go peek behind the scenes on this one, with mama’s help. And I want to find out what happened to that unsuspecting kitty that her two-faced-philandering husband was caressing.
Just remember that if you’re going to be in films, you need an agent and a contract and the right to read the script FIRST.
Have to go—they’re waiting for me in make-up…haha.
I hope they can do something about these FEET!
Those feet are purrfect just the way they are. We didn’t know that their was a movie about one of us! Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Lisbeth, Astrid and Calista Jo
