I’m keeping an eye on mama these days. Well, two. Eyes, that is, not mamas.
I guess our spark today is that when you find yourself worrying and stressed by what is going on right now in the world (!), one of the best ways to keep those feelings at bay for a brief moment is to do something that you love to do…sing, read, paint, putter, garden, hug your kitties(!), doggies, sheep, piggies, whatever you hug (hubby? partner? friend?), and keep helpful and calm thoughts in your head that are GOOD for you.
And to stay sane, mama cooks!
She made some pretty snazzy banana bread yesterday, not aware that it was National Banana Bread Day! Can you believe it? We laughed a lot about that one.
But a kitchen is great solace for agitation. So calming to stir and mix and fold and chop.
And taking a mallet to almost anything that needs pounding can really help with anger management, haha. Mama loves to crush nuts with her mallet and I’ll bet you can guess what she’s thinking while she whacks, haha.
Have a positively sane week and think thoughts that are good for you and the world.
Things change, whether we like it or not, and very often, we like it!
I’m keeping an eye on things from here, too. At least we have a few nasturtiums right now, but spring is on the way.
Wow, you have some flowers, Loulou? All we have here is brown and grey plants.
Well, the only thing that grows in this period is the nasturtium plant. Or herbs, rosemary, thyme, sage….
Signs of Spring cheer everybody up and we are at least finally saying goodbye to the last of our snow so Spring is starting to spring here too!
Hugs, Teddy
Yay Yay, Mr T!!! You’ll be out there getting in shape for spring in no time at all. We’re keepin’ an eye out for changes. Around here, anything can spring up so to speak. We had snow in MARCH one year.
You look like you’re getting ready to punch in that photo, Loulou! I walk my sweet dog, Shadow to stay sane. It always works.
Now THAT makes sense, dear Miliza. Animals are so sane, compared to this world’s idiots.
Prayer is what calms me. Since we need miracles, we might as well pray for them.
Let’s hope the heavens are listening. We need everything we can do and say to lick this one!
Yes!! Appreciating what we have makes the world seem sweeter

Well, your friendship is one of those sweet ‘haves’….love to you, Ms D.
Are you getting ready to pounce, LouLou? You look like you might be, hiding with such intensity in those nasturtiums!
When you’re done go and snoopervise your Mama soi she doesn’t use the mallet on her fingers by mistake, Oops!
Haha, she is pretty accurate when she whacks anything, and NOW is easy when she’s wacking with you-know-who in mind!!!
Cooking is very relaxing. I always listen to Frank Sinatra when I cook. Beautiful photo of you. XO
Oh, what a GRAND idea!!! I’m sure your sauces are perfect with him crooning…
LouLou the two pictures you included here are calming and pleasant too !
Oh, that is good to know. We’ll look for others that I think mama has in her thousands of photos of me. I’m sure I was calming for mama many times.
