We are also thankful for lots of tomatoes this year, which means sauce for winter!
Well, today I am thankful for good vets who are kind and rub my tummy even if they are sticking me with needles to measure my sugar or whatever they are looking for…
Mama’s grandmere used to call the little cousins (mama, among them) over to her AMPLE bosom and say, “Come over here and give me some SHUGAH”, which meant let me snorgle you little darlings and get kissed on the neck, where, presumably, the sugar resided, haha.
Sugar for me is not such a fun thing….
But I’m thankful for Lantus and thankful for all our blogger friends who are so thoughtful and full of good information about so many things and I wish I could be thankful for Putin’s exit from ANYWHERE since his invasion has helped cause a major hunger problem in Somalia, along with a terrible drought.
So we are thankful for the 16 ships of grain that are headed for places that direly need it and we pray that Somalis is first on the list.
Have a terrific Thursday…which reminds me, I need a drink with all this stuff in me.
HEY, MAMA, you forgot the lemon wedge!
I do not know who you are and have put you in spam.
I hear ya LouLou. Sugar for me isn’t a good thing either since I was diagnosed with diabetes earlier this summer. Thankfully my doctor is giving me a chance to lose weight so that hopefully I don’t have to go on meds.
Well, losing weight helps a lot and we hope you will not have to take meds or get jabbed! There are ways to help it get better and you are on the right track!
I’m glad you have good vets that take good care of you and make sure you get the right sugar. 😉 ~Ernie
Merci, Ernie, and have you come to terms with that OTHER kitty yet?
What a wonderful grandmere your mama had – I love that story. I hope that your sugar levels are not too sweet, but just right, lovely Loulou.
Well, she was a “belle” in her day and used to entertain my mother’s beaus (even when pregnant with mama’s brother) by playing the piano while they waited for mama. They never wanted to leave…..
Loulou I’m so happy your Mama and Papa make sure you see the vet for good care because it’s ever so important. I have to go to my vet today but just for a yearly shot. I always have you in my prayers dear girl. Glad your Mama has a lot of tomatoes this year for cooking her magical recipes. My Mom says one of her favorite snacks as a little girl was a freshly picked tomato from the garden sliced open with just a tough of sugar sprinkled on! Of course YOU can’t have that but it was almost like dessert for my “little girl Mom” !! Sending you hugs for a happy Friday.
Love, Teddy
WHAT A GRAND IDEA, for mama, of course. Mama is going to try that one, but she has a salty tongue. We’ll see….
Those vets are good att figuring our your precise needs, aren’t they? I hope you continue eating to make it all work well.
That raspberry you had in a previous post, give that to the Evil P-Dude. Hah!
Boy, I’d like to give him a lot more than that! But I don’t know how to use a poison dart blower….
I would love to give you some shugah – the good kind, not the illness one. XO
Well, we’d like to sugah all your kitties, and you, too! You helped me so much.
Lemon wedge indeed. Mom just read that 11,000 people have died in France this summer due to the extreme heat. Along with the things you mentioned and so many fires and floods in USA, it has been a very bad and sad summer. So we are thankful you have good vets to take care of you. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
Yes, too many upsets on the planet and famine in Africa and those sweet children suffering so terribly. You’d think a billionaire could spare a few bucks to fight hunger, no? But there were lovely moments among friends and families who were able to see one another after so long. Every time we read your kitties’names, we just smile and smile and smile.
We hope you continue to feel better LouLou !
Oh, merci for that wish and I wish it, too.
Stay healthy sweet LouLou!
Well, we are hoping but it takes time to see if the new dose works for me.
Hope you get your sugar in check, Loulou. It’s so wonderful of you to think of others and their problems, too. I, too, wish that Poutin would disappear. He has plagued this world too long, and only cares about leaving what he figures is a good legacy in his country. But he’s so delusional now, because he has basically destroyed it by his actions. I feel sorry for the Russian people, though.
And as for the sparkly gif on my blog, I did not make that myself. There are many sites where they offer gifs for free, and I tend to collect them.
Well, the Russian people seem to be doing life as usual, but there are dissident groups who are just beginning to surface. Very dangerous in Putain country! He has blindsided the world but we keep hoping someone will…er…get to him……
Sending you healing hugs, Loulou.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. ♥
Merci, Sandee, and hugs back!
We sure hope your diabetes is under control Loulou, we’d be most thankful for that. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Merci, Brian, I am a bit better thanks to Mirataz and more appetite plus a bit more insulin.
