Music and…
Madness. In the midst of a festival…a missing girl.
So sad, so sad, this sign that mama saw when she was registering for SXSW–a time of creativity and fun and networking and exchanges and somewhere, a family missing one of its own. You know those signs that have photos of missing kitties and doggies? Well, this is an anthro one and shocking when you come upon it in the midst of merrymaking.
Still, there might be a chance that among the thousands and thousands in Austin for SXSW, just one might have seen this girl. I certainly hope so, because if it were my picture on that sign, I know so well how mama and papa would feel. And you might say, yes, yes, but an animal is just an animal and a person is a human being, but it’s sad for all concerned, animal or anthro (who are also animals, no?).
The city has turned wintry and frigid and all of the predictions for lovely sunny weather were out the window, so to speak.
Still, the music is yet to come and there will be hundreds of bands in the streets and in the bars and in the restaurants and on the rooftops and mama will be there with her ear plugs (if needed) and her camera so I ought to have some good shots sent to me from the Lone Star state. I would have gone, but my little ears don’t do well with loud music, even good music, plus I do NOT want to run into a large pair of cowboy boots (often with spurs) on the narrow streets of Austin. I’m not on a leash, you know, even if trained to HEEL!
Here’s a nice Utube of a singer from Austin who mama and papa liked a lot, Gary Clark, Jr:

And they’ll be watching out for more so stay tuned.
