Keeping an eye on things…
Oh, boy, I saw that mama had such fun at the open market on Sunday, buying little marigolds for the garden and happily planting other posies in our small flower holders that greet people before they walk down to the front door.
All I can say is, pauvres petites fleurs! Planted out there on a warm sunny day and now whipped hither and yon by sudden, cold, WINDS. Alors, is it March or what? Duh…
We kitties know when to stay in a nice warm place when these crazy winds come around. Maybe I could invite those little flowers to nap with me until this wild weather is calm again.
No?
Okay, just tryin’ to be neighborly, but I forget that they can’t see me. They’ll do fine, they are the protectors of the garden after all, along with me, and born strong!
Have you planted anything yet? I think there are lots of kitties just waiting for the nip bed to happen….
Nipping to my heart’s content…
Soon the garden will be blooming and colorful again!
Oui, thanks to ME, Ernie…but we’ll keep this between us, okay?
Teddy has a small bunch of catnip in our front garden – he likes to lie on it and keep it warm (hahaha). We haven’t planted anything yet here as it’s too cold. However, my dicentra is blooming- always an early bloomer. I think in the garden is a good spot for you to keep an eye on things Loulou…..!
Hugs, Pam
Merci, Ms Pam. I like it that Teddy has nip and knows the pleasure of that dr…uh…plant.
Your mama seems to have green fingers, Loulou. Unfortunately, I have the opposite of green fingers and am not great in the garden. I love those sweet pics of you.
Oh, Militza, as mama says, radishes grow for just about everyone, haha, which is why we plant them first, to give us courage to go on…
We used to have a lot of good nip, just growing wild in our yard…and some that was deliberately planted for our feline nip heads…but then a neighbor kitty spied or smelled them and ate them all to the ground! Maybe he called in his bi=uddies to help, because we never saw the garden planted ones gin, though there are still lots of little wild ones here and ther. Us pups don’t pay attention to t at all.
We have a March lion here too, we had w=strong winds and a lot of heavy rain on Tuesday…hope it doesn’t cause too much trouble as it moves east over the lands…its going to where we have friends and family. Yikes! We went from about 60F to 47 F in a short time!
I like d seeing you hiding under those plants😺
Oh you doggies….just take a whiff of that nip and you might change your smeller, haha. WOW, eating nip in huge quantities might disable a kitty for a while…
A nip garden sounds good! Our crabgrass is already going gangbusters!
HAHA are there any crabs in it? Watch you noses, kitties.
We are getting some cold snaps too! We don’t grow our own nip but we’d like to see an abundant nip crop worldwide. Our kitties may be jazzed up enough on their own, but I’d like to get them a little, some day.
Haha, if they are jazzed up, a good nip bed could calm them down.
I have a black thumb, and kill everything so no plants here, just the grass. I do admire everyone else’s gardens though and here people do not plant anything until the pecan trees bloom. You can fool every tree, but the pecan knows when the last frost is over and when they blossom, it’s time to plant everything including the tomatoes.
Mama says the secret to green thumbing is MULTCH….always works. Also processed chicken or steer manure in the soil. You’ll turn your thumb green for sure!
We haven’t put in nip yet, as it is too cold for it to be outside and if we plant some inside it wouldn’t last long. Marigolds are good to have because they repel bugs.
Yes, and they protect tomato roots underground, yay yay.
I am sure you watch over everything your folks do. We planted some cat grass. XO
Cat grass is yummy. I had some, too, and LOVED it after dinner to digest easily.
We heard that the weather was about to take a serious turn for the worse down south. It’s not exactly great here, north of the Loire, either, but we’re used to it…
#1 did buy herself a lovely little Jasmine in a pot.
Purrs,
The Chns
Oh, mama’s favorite….jasmin perfume from your little plant will be lovely.
March weather is so unpredictable! I love that pic of you with your head in the nip – what a smart kitty.
Well, I was wee-wah for a few minutes after….
oh my cod!!! look at all dat furresh and tender nip!!!!
So wish you could share it!!! It’s coming up again in the roses…probably my doing!
We know your Mama loves your oversight, Loulou!
Well, in my opion she and papa NEED it!
