Well, I suggested this “posed” selfie to mama, and voilá!
Oh, mince, it is POURING out in my garden but of course I am waterproof, haha. And I must say the roses are lapping it up, so to speak, but still. It’s market day and no way is mama going out in this, NO WAY, Jose, whoever that is.
Have a cozy, warm Sunday (well, those who are now enjoying hot weather, have a cool Sunday) and keep those rainboots handy. Mama can’t even pick her broad beans in this deluge, whatever that is!
Maybe another souptime recipe, a little soupçon, haha, of everything in your fridge and larder:
In a big pot, and put all the veggies you have handy – onion, garlic, carrots, zucchine, potato, leeks, shallots, mushrooms, green onions, tomatoes, cooked beans, cooked rice, whatever looks as if it might work in a veggie soup – all chopped medium, and add vegetable or chicken broth to cover or if you’d rather use bouillon cubes, use a couple. Let everything simmer for 30 minutes, then add the juice of a lemon and a half teaspoon of turmeric and a little grated fresh ginger. Taste for salt and pepper as bouillon cubes are very salty.
With a hand mixer, whiz it up but not completely, just enough to have a nice “minestrone” texture or if you want pure elegance, whiz it to a creamy mixture and serve with grated parmesan on the side or a little dish of hot sauce.
This will warm your cockles, for sure! Whatever they are…
What a cutie!
MERCI, Liam!
What a great pose, Loulou. You’re most beautiful.
I love your soup. That looks most delicious.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. ♥
WE hope you make a pot for yourself.
We had OK weather part of yesterday and downpours the rest. This morning, we had deep fog! The weather is definitely bizarre!
Purrs,
The Chans
Wow, we had the same thing and then a huge downpour and now it’s all over and warm again. WEIRD.
Oh my word, Loulou, that looks too delicious for words!
Easy peasy, takes no time at all.
So happy your Mama is sharing some of her fabulous recipes with us – we know she’s a FAB Chef!! We had sun all day yesterday and will have it again today…..soon it will be HOT so we’re enjoying this beautiful Spring with plenty of WET.
Hugs, Teddy
Maybe get out your bathing suit, Mr Teds, and some pawscreen…
That soup sounds delicious, sweet Angel LouLou. We also make this kind of soup, but Granny never uses a mixer or immersion blender, because when she does, the soup is around the whole kitchen🙈So we eat it like in the picture. Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day🐾😽💞
Ha ha, mama just loved that image of your Granny mixing soup! It’s good both ways.
Loulou, we could use some of that rain. It’s going to be in the mid to upper 80s all week. Much too hot for this time of year. That soup looks really yummy. Our dad makes really good soups too. Thanks for floating down to join the blog hop. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
Oh I love to join your hops and I’m pretty much able to do anything I wish now so you’ll be seeing me quite a bit.Would love your dad’s recipes!
Your pose is just right!
The soup looks so good.
Merci, Mimi, it’s hard to know which to get into…
Beautiful picture of you, LouLou! The soup sounds good! We’re having a cloudy day here, with possible rain on the way. We’re ready for some sunshine!
Oui, this cloudy/rainy/windy stuff is getting long in the tooth, whatever that means. But spring always show up sooner or later, non?
That sounds really good! I’m always looking for new soup recipes.
Just throw everything in that feels right and let it rip.
It’s always a good time for some soup!
THE BEST. Soup heals all tummy needs.
That soup looks so good. And I love every photo of you LouLou. XO
Merci, Ms Ellen. And we hope you are feeling okay because of all that’s happened.
OOh I need to try the soup recipe. We are trying not to each as much over processed foods now. This is a help!
YES, toss out those processed things….There are so many fresh things to eat.
That reminds me of a recipe I once read, called Garbage Day soup,LOL!!! Sounds yummy! We never have that much of leftover veggies, here, because we eat them up as soon as we cook them!
We had about an inch of rain overnight, but now the sun is out to warm it up and make jungle humidity, UGH! Might get more storms overnight…
Oh, keep safe and dry and just buy a few extra veggies! Then you’ll have some but we understand eating them up when you get them.
yummy soup!! dee mum luvz soop!!
It’s health in a bowl, yes!
My oh my, the soup looks yummy … but your Mama is right about not doing marketing on pouring-down-rain days! We would not either … by the way, an adorable picture of you (and we do still miss you, you silly girl). PS we’ve NO IDEA why you remain “anonymous” when commenting on our blog, but do thank you for your comments … just think that sometimes “old google and wordpress don’t like to shake paws with each other” … sigh, meow.
HAHA we try to comment wit google but it doesn’t seem to work. Don’t worry, we know how to not be Anonymous, haha.
That sounds an excellent choice of soup for the kind of weather you seem to be having, LouLou!
Mummy will copy down the recipe and try it some day when the weather is appropriate.
Great! She will love it and probably add her own touches!
Another superb soupcon LouLou. Happy Sunday
MERCI, Ms Mary. You, too.
