Some of the kitties living outside of mama’s friend’s villa in Italy, having their aperitivo!
Well, one of mama’s friends (who also serves daily lunch and dinner to those lucky kitties above in the photo) has rescued another little kitty, named Phoebe, from Pescara del Tronto, a little town near Amatrice, because after the earthquake there were many animals left alone with no families. And another friend of mama’s sent out a plea for those who could adopt animals from Amatrice and environs and that’s how little Phoebe found a new mama and papa.
I love her name, Phoebe. Mama’s friend is good at names. She has had a Brough and a Sybil. Phoebe has a little eye problem but it is healing, and she has the LONGEST whiskers this kitty has ever seen. I thought MINE were long, but whoa…these are fantastic feelers on her tiny little muzzle.
OOPS, Mama’s friend just wrote to say there was another shake-up of over 4 on the Richter Scale a couple of days ago near their village. Let’s hope the earth stops trembling around there now that Phoebe has found a safe haven.
And thanks/grazie/merci to all of those who took in animals after the terrible quake.
I’d like to meet little Phoebe one day. I think I will…
Thanks for introducing us to Phoebe. That is a name our mom likes as well, and she has a soft spot for torties. Your mom’s friend is so good to take care of and adopt kitties who need help. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Yes, she is such a sweetie and mama had one named Luna because she was found under a full moon, abandoned.
That is very good news for Phoebe that she has a new forever home. I am very sad for all the animals as well as the people who lost their homes. Your mama’s friend is very good to care for the kitties.
Oh, thank you, and forgive me for putting your website on my blog instead of the swisscatblog where I found the logo for Oct 4. I am so sorry but have rectified it and maybe you had some new visitors because of it!
Don’t worry about it. I wondered why you had put it there. No-one would have reached me through it though as I am blogspot.com not .com
Well, that’s even weirder. I go to the internet and click on the website of a blogger, then copy the url into my blog. Hmmm…
What a pretty girl ! We’re glad Phoebe found a wonderful forever home ! Purrs
Oh, Phoebe is so, so happy. She spent 2 whole minutes on her papa’s lap yesterday.
Yes, Indeed, many thanks to those who rescue animals, be it after an earthquake or in more normal circumstances. MERCI MILLE FOIS.
Thank you for your merci!!!
All our best wishes to little Phoebe and all the animals from that region who had to endure such a horror. And much gratitude and admiration to those workers who are helping rescue and find homes. And to those who have given them a new home and love. Animals “know” when they’ve been helped and are forever grateful. Bravo.
I’ll send this on to Annabel and thank you.
It’s so great that your mama’s friend rescued Phoebe. We hope her eye gets better.
Oh, her new mama is a very good nurse when it comes to creatures.
You look pretty confident there, Loulou. I hope you do get to meet Phoebe one day. She does indeed have long whiskers! Glad she is safe with a home.
She loves her new home and he mama is really thrilled about her.
Phoebe is gorgeous, I am glad she has a forever home now. I love the name to, I have my very own Phoebe 🙂
Oh, that’s right! I forgot. I should send my friend your blogsite.
