Is this a magical sweet photo or what? (And don’t think of it in kitty terms, just aesthetic ones. Stop that drooling!)
Well, mama and papa found a slick little store in Paia, on Maui, and marvelled at photos taken by the Cesere brothers, two very adventuresome men who find myriad treasures underwater that live and breathe. Mama said you could watch the 7-minute video in the shop all day long. Whales leaping out of the ocean, schools of fish darting in all directions, turtles turtling, dolphins dolphining, and SHARKS SHARKING, for that matter!
How about this mottled fellow below with his very wise eyes?
And these guys do see eye to eye, literally, with so many enchanting sea creatures, making films and photos that are very moving and spiritual. There is something so lovely about being under the sea or ocean, especially if you are a kitty who can only watch and enjoy from the shore. You’re not putting that equipment on me, that’s for sure, but I can live vicariously (in the Galapagos waters, for example) through the artistry of these incredibly talented photographers.
Mama took these pics from ones on the wall for sale so there is a bit of reflection on this one. Obviously she needed ME there to get the right photo, but what can you do? Many of the photos for sale can be found online at their site.
Something tells me that these guys photograph only the greats of the deep, so I guess they’re not really interested in a documentary on, say, catfish, haha.
Maybe rolled in cornmeal and deep-fried would be a better bet. I’ll share mine with them for sure. Thank you, brothers, for such beautiful insights into the magical creatures of the deep.
Hey, this is the best I could do, okay?
Loulou, we hope we don’t run into you in the deep blue sea. 😉
I am not going near a sea except on a ferry and during that trip I am in the closet, hoping it will be over soon. Once I looked out the porthole but saw nothing but flat blue something or other that looked WET.
Wonderful photos ! We love your mask, Loulou, is it your Halloween outfit ? Purrs
It will be unless I find an ANTHRO SUIT. Haha. But I think my tail would give me away…
Ooooh, Loulou – those are BEAUTIFUL photos – especially yours!!!! Did you take that selfie with a Fish-Eye-camera, yuk, yuk? You are adorable. I’ll bet you’re thinking about that fish soup huh………..????
Mama was experimenting with photoshop. She failed.
Oh LouLou, You’re bootyful just as you are. And they’re da ones missin’ out, not you. they would be purrivaledged to film da likes of you. As fur all dat underwater stuffs, mommy and us all will pass. Da shower’s ’bout as adventurous as we’re gettin’. MOL
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
OH, you two make me laugh so much and so often. LOVE your humor. Mama doesn’t go underwater either but a swimming pool works. Just not deep sea!
It’s Nemo!
Even kitties can’t go eating Nemo!
Have a super week…
Noodle and crew
Super blog today, Noodle. Thank you for the links.
Incredible pictures!
These guys are so, so good, and they give some of their profits to saving the whales’ children and other sea creature kids.
Inspirational, Loulou. You can go trick or treating Halloween dressed as a fish. Love the mask.
Your mom can be … hmmm, a photographer. Make sure she watches where she is going. Jan says it is hard to see what’s right in front of a person when a human walks around with a camera in front of her face. Jan should know. 🙂
Yeah, but it’s so hard to walk on a fish tail. Hmm…maybe a mermaid suit and mama can take me around in a tank, haha. A fish tank, that is, not a REAL tank.
Great photos and you make a cute cat fish.
Well, thanks, but mama has lost her Adobe tools somewhere or we’d have more exciting artwork going on. I think.
Oh LouLou, I love your fishy mask – you are now ready for the Black and White Ball, right? Grandmama Ros and Grandpapa Barrie will definitely have to check out those two chaps and their store – thanks for sharing.
Look at what we saw on our street the other day – sorry, I tried to load a photo but it would not load – but it was a big Mama Turtle about 2.5 feet long – her baby was tagging along behind her – I think she lives on the street and takes a walk from our street around the corner and up towards the Water Lilly farm ..
OH, Grandma Ros, I saw the turtle and I have just been too crazy to respond. Thank you!!! And now I have to go do the blog on YOU and the Maui B and B and Barrie and so much more. Mama loved your “fair winds” aloha….thank you.
