There were WHAT in his backyard?
Oh, boy, a friend of ours who helped mama in the garden some years ago installed a camera in his yard to see who was tearing up the soil, and this is what he saw!
Because of lack of food due to so many changes around here with Covid and climate and more, the wild boar (sangliers in French) are venturing into yards and even into our little town!
But what was surprising was that there were even more wild critters who passed by the camera, a fox, a bobcat and something not yet identified, but also a very large kitty! And mama thinks I am chubs…HAH.
Mama loves that last wise-looking sanglier who appears to wish to steal the show!
Maybe he thought it was an audition for a remake of The Three Tusketeers, haha.
Those guys had better not be coming around here…
Wow! We get a lot of critters in our yard, but never one of these!
Pretty snouty, what? And tusky, too.
That is a Piggy Piggy LouLou. You know Dads Mom had a “pygmy Potbelly Pig.” Yeah, Pygmy, right, like 100 pounds. Of course the day “The Pig fell in the Crawlspace” had dads ears steaming. The pig was fine. Dad was ranting for weeks. Glad that was befur my time MOL
OH, boy, those little (HAH) LITTLE potbellies do grow up, non? I’ll bet you’d have fun with him now, haha.
Loulou, you look very slim in that last photo!! Unlike me. But YIKES!!!!!! those sangliers and possums look scary!!! Don’t go outside without your peeps!!! WOW!!!!!!! Allwe have to dodge are the goelands (giant seagulls) who snatch cats and small doggies!! But now they overturn garbage cans and make such a mess!! But hey – better than cats and dogs!
Well, confession, that pic was taken, er, some years ago…..yesterday our neighbor, Jean, saw me and said, OH, Loulou, you’ve gotten a bit chubby! Grrrrrr.
WoW! Wild pigs! We have raccoons, coyotes, wolves, bob cats, cougars, bears, deers, moose, beavers and smaller wild animals but no wild pigs! We loved the video! Have a marvellous happy day!
Wow, a veritable zoo in your neck of the woods! Mama lived in Canada where she saw moose, bears, and other creatures, but here there are only what you saw. Plus geckos, haha.
Oh My! It’s almost a ZOO in your Mama’s friend’s backyard!
Hugs, Teddy
Well, Cats Astrophic have the real zoo. But yes, we do have a few interesting creatures, and lots of birds.
What is the cat-sized spotted animal with a poofed out tail ? It looks a bit like a skunk – are there spotted skunks in your part of the world ?
Well, it may be a genet. I sent you a website of Pyrenees animals so maybe he/she is in that.
