Hmm…maybe papa is the pipette-putter today…
Well, today’s the day I get my pipette (liquid treatment in a little plastic holder) that is anti-flea, tick, and whatever else it is “anti” for. I always feel a little wee-wah, to use a technical term, after mama puts the three little drops between my ears.
As I might have mentioned before, she always gets me when I’m spaced out and semi-snoozing and she thinks I don’t really know what’s going on, plus it’s over in a minute and I’ve had a nice between-the-ears scratch. Feels sort of good actually, but let me tell you, mama, you are NOT pulling the wool over MY eyes, whatever that means.
I know exactly what’s happening.
And frankly, tics and fleas are NOT my favorite bugs…are they yours?
Just don’t rub me with any anti-nip stuff, mama, okay?
(I had better take a little hit just in case…)
You don’t want bugs, Loulou.
No way, but I might have eaten one in the garden that made me a bit ill…
Mama knows whats best for you, Loulou, and a gentle rub between the ears is always a bonus.
Oh, it was very easy to accept.
Oops – I think I hit something that made my comment disappear – but JUST in case – you’re lucky – Moi, Mya fashion princess am forced to wear a tacky white rubber collar!! It protects against leshmaniose – that terrible disease doggies (and kitties?) in the south can get from little flying bugs. It can cause paralysis and horrible things. So, I’ll just have to wait until fall to get that bad fashion statement off my neck!!
WHAT? What on earth are you wearing? I need more info but take care, Mya!
I really have to sneak up on my kitties, but it is so important ! Over the years a couple have gotten so anemic they needed a transfusion, which is WAY more expensive than flea treatments. And the ticks are very bad this year, so anyone going outside needs the protection.
I agree with Mama though – it doesn’t hurt or make a noise (like the old sprays used to) so I don’t know why kitties are so bothered, though I suppose you can smell it much better than us humans can. Stay safe !
Well, I love the scratch between my ears even if I do know what it means.
Moms can be ever so sneaky, but kitties always know the truth. You’re a smart kitty.
Have a purrfect day and week. My best to your mom. ♥
Oh, yes, we always know what’s what! Thank you.
