Well, at the risk of losing you, let me say that there is absolutely no way we are celebrating THIS present president’s day.
Inspired by CatChat, here are inspirational words from presidents who have led our great country.
Every quote is relevant to President’s Day, which was created for George Washington’s birth.
I laud so many quotes of so many of our past leaders.
There are none to quote from our present president.
Thank you, presidents and founding fathers who have tried to serve democracy, not destroy it.
Politics can drive one to drink…
If we kitties governed there wouldn’t be all the drama.
Yes, but how to achieve that…
We’re with you! Normally, I don’t ever post my opinion like I did …but…….since 2016 I have been sick to my stomach and each day it only gets worse 🙁
Well, we will either swim or…SINK. But we don’t have far to go right now. What a catastrophe for our beloved country. And we must speak out, and hope someone hears who might change his or her mind…..
We can still celebrate our past presidents. 🙂
By all means. Some of them were magnificent! And one in particular started quite young…42, Kennedy. And poor Churchhill (not a president but still a leader) was thrown into office just as the Nazis invaded Poland!!! Holy tamale.
We just need a DECENT, good-hearted person who cares about America, not just himself and cronies. Actually, I don’t think he cares about them either unless they are giving him something.
I agree, Loulou. There is absolutely nothing to celebrate.
And so sad to have to feel that…
teehee – is that why my Mama drinks? She reads the U.S. news and cringes. He wants to cut benefits, make even more pollution and mayhem – ahatever that means and his fat orange face is everywhere in the news. Then Mama opens The Guardian and Boris Johnson pops up. Then she reads the French news and hopes there’s not another strike. Loulou, we would be so much better at governing – I already thought of a slogan – kibbles in every bowl. Howzzat?
I vote for YOU, Mya…Kibble Correction NOW.
Chère Loulou,
Sigh, I understand how you are feeling. I am drinking a lot more these days just to not lose heart.
I appreciate your courage to speak out. It’s important to hold tight and support those in service who are honorable, lead with integrity and believe in democracy.
Thank you for your thoughts!
Love from one of your biggest fans,
Jacqueline
And we are your biggest fans, Jacqueline!!! Miss you so much.
My favorite is President Lincoln. Did you know he was a cat lover?
No, but thank you. He was amazing and I’m sure kind to kitties.
Have to admit President’s Day has been a concern to many this past year. * shakes head *
Heads are shaking everywhere, perhaps more than before. Thank you.
