Puddles there, puddles here…

Well, I was inspired by Ernie to find myself a little warm sun puddle myself in this cold-and-getting-colder weather here in, haha, southern Italy.  I think anthros have a picture sometimes of any place that has ‘south’ or ‘sunny’in its description to think of that place as tropical palms and soft breezes from a tepid ocean, but no way, Jose.

Mama, for example is from a place (Houston) that was so hot and humid in the summer that everyone wanted out to go anywhere, just not in the mosquito-ridden, damp, boiling summers, but in winter…brrrrrrr.  Mama remembers building snow anthros…and long underwear, whatever that is.

It’s like the saying, “The coldest winter I ever spent was the summer in San Francisco” attributed to Mark Twain but he didn’t say it and no one seems to know who did!  But that is what’s happening in other cities now.

Still, mama lived in SF, too, and she found the summers were COLD.  And the warming of the planet will not improve things…oh, I forgot, there is no global warming.

So do we have to live on an island in the Caribbean to be warm in winter?  Oh, lordy, just think about what it would take to GET there, much less move there.

I think it would take a sea-faring type of vehicle.

And you know how I love ships.
