Elegantissimo, no?
Well, mama read and a good friend told her that we kitties might be more comfortable eating a bit higher, rather than from dishes on the floor to which we must lower ourselves.
Right away, papá constructed an elegant dining table for me and yes, I think I am more comfortable not bending down to munch, thank you, oh brilliant papá!
However, change can be traumatic.
I passed out right after dining…
Our spark this Monday is something mama and papa learned when they were building a house with a very sage contractor and his son, and whenever mama and papa talked to the son about some problem or other that always comes up when building a house, the son would say, “That’s not a problem, that’s an opportunity!”
So in this strange time of COVID, we try to look at hassles and irritations and problems as opportunities, which makes us want to see what information that opportunity is offering.
Spoiler: Sometimes it doesn’t work, haha. But hey, if at first you can’t succeed, try, try again.
🌸🌺🌼
What a clever papa you have, Loulou. I also love that sage saying from the contractor’s son – I may have to steal it. 😉
STEAL IT PLEASE. We use it all the time to keep us in line!
love the new feeding area your Papa built for you! That’s just purrfect! Also, I LOVE your attitude!! Looking for opportunities….brilliant!
Oui, every time we think we have Problem, it turns into an O!!!!
Your mama is right, Loulou. Us cats do better with our food dish up higher. Especially older cats. I’ve had a raised dish for years. Even my water dish is a raised one. ~Ernie
Oh, Ernie, mama wishes she had known that. But then again, I didn’t have arthritis until fairly recently. Maybe you can be my health guru. Thanks for letting us know about this, and I do love my little “Danish modern” dining table, haha.
Wonderful dining table! My Mom bought me a raised dish a while back and I just LOVE it. It makes sense that we can swallow our food better and relax more when we eat if we aren’t bending down! I can sit and eat since my dish is high…..maybe I can get my Dad to make a table and chair for me. Hmm…that would give him something to do!
Hugs, Teddy
Old cutting board and four doorstops (Amazon.com doorstops – very inexpensive and come as 6)
Hmmmm – I wonder if I would eat better? Nah – I eat everythng they throw at me – especially cucumbers!Mixed with kibbles and medicine for arthritis and verrues! Loulou do you eat better with the new dish?
Yes, actually, my neck does not hurt because it is straighter.
Missing your cutting board, eh??! Bwhahahahaha! Good use of resources present though:)
Petcretary used to use a large coffee tin that fit the doggy bowl perfectly and raised it up several inches for our MJF.
Ingenious. What a great idea.
That was so sweet of your papa to build for you. XO
He was so quick to do it, too. A great idea!
That’s a beautiful table you have Loulou, Papa done good!
Well, he is pretty creative.
Excellent new dining platform. We have a raised food dish with three different stations. All our fountains have raised levels as well. That looks like a great nap too! I think personally that all of my and your naps a GREAT!
Very good idea LouLou – we have read about raising up feeding dishes and it makes sense.
Well, it makes the body sort of sraighten up a bit to eat instead of bending down. Aunt Jacquie suggested that we raise my food bowl because he kitty Suki has raised bowls and benefits from that.
What a wonderful dining table, Loulou!
Poor Sweetie just has a cardboard box, with a folded newspaper on it as a tablecloth.
The Hubby is the son of a carpenter; he should be able to whip something like this up too!
Well, mama is missing her cutting board haha and had to order new doorstops. But they are CHEAP on Amazon, 6 for low price so you’d have two for doors! Steal a cutting board from the kitchen….
