I’m waiting out here in the dark because I do NOT want to miss THIS!
Well, get out your binocs, whatever they are. Tonight, at least where we are in France, there will be a TOTAL eclipse of Mr. Moon, and he will turn RED and BIG and BEAUTIFUL.
We here are going outside around nine to watch the moon rise and disappear and maybe turn black, too!
WOW. Are our planets fun or what?
Are you just now letting me know that anthros were WALKING ON THE MOON?
I had to wait till close to eleven to catch sight of the eclipse, but nothing spectacular at all.
But a neighbor friend of mine told me that last night, around nine, she heard on the radio that “the show” was beginning. She was just out of the shower so she grabbed her pajamas, jumped into her car and raced to La Montagne (a nearby hill) and there she could enjoy the sight of the famous eclipse.
Too bad I didn’t know the place to be was La Montagne.
Oh, so sorry. I didn’t know either that I should have been at the sea, not behind a hill. Oh, well…
We hope you got to see it, Loulou. Unfortunately, here…we didn’t get to. Though it was a big full moon last night.
Hey, the big full moon was the best in show.
WOW – did you see it, Loulou? We wimped out and went home from Jazz Night at the Westminster and at 8:45 no trace, but Papa had been to the dentist and was ready to crash! We saw the Lune Rouge last year in Menton (rising like a big balloon) over Italy. It was incredible.Darn. We missed this one (which Papa says was an eclipse and a different thing). Oh well. We’ll look for photos……
Well, here we waited and waited and mama saw a little pale pink disc and then they went to bed. Ho hum
We won’t be able to see it 🙁
We should have all been in Athens!
Did not get to see that here. Heard about it on the radio and there was supposed to be a website to view it live, but Jan missed the name of the site so we missed the red moon.
Well, we were all in a weird place for it. Better to have been more south.
It won’t be visible in our area, so enjoy it for us too, LouLou !
Uh, I didn’t see ANYTHING. And mama only saw a disc, pale red, for about a minute.
