My Cope Comforter…
Well, the Jedi were Guardians of the Republic Starwars, and my Jedi are guardians of the Loulou kitty WHO IS BEING DESERTED. (Uh..sorry, my caps got away from me…)
My aunty and uncle are back from Paris and ready to engage in tummy rubs, cranial mystical healing massage and…FEEDING ME!
Mama and papa cannot thank their friends enough for this sojourn in our little village to allow them to see papa’s son and family in Rome after one whole year.
There are no mercis big enough, but the word “friendship” has taken on a special and larger meaning for mama and papa and me through these lovely two.
Perhaps our spark for today is simply that friendship has many facets, and through thick and thicker those facets create a lasting, deep connection that helps so much to cope with so many unknowns.
And lately, there seems to be an awful lot of unknowns that need attention and mindfulness. Friendship is the backbone that holds us straight as we try to navigate this mysterious new world.
Mama recently read an article by a famous psychiatrist who says that our brains were never developed to cope with the large number of changes that are going on in the world right now, that we need to step back as often as possible and breathe, breathe, breathe to stay relatively sane, haha.
I think I’ll do that right now…
…hey, at least we don’t have to worry about living with dinosaurs!
Yeah, Loulou, but WE are coping with extinction…
Oh, MY, LouLou, you are waxing with very sage wordiness today!
It is so sweet that you have such good furends that your peeps can feel good about leaving you for a bit…
Well, it really is an act of great kindness, this kitty-sitting they are doing. Yes, we are lucky to have friends like them!😻
Loulou I just know that your wonderful Auntie and Uncle-sitters will take magnificent care of you while your Mom and Dad visit family after so long. I’m sure you will miss them BUT you have other family with you to take care of important things like belly rubs and treats and your medicines….just relax and enjoy the visit! AND Bon Voyage to your Mom and Dad….
Hugs, Teddy
Merci, Teddy, they are en route now and in Cannes but I’ll speak to them one of these days when I have a free moment from snuggles.
That quote is just purrfect, LouLou and when you see a dinosaur, don’t let your mind fool you, just breathe into it😸Double Pawkisses to all🐾😽💞
HA HA I’m going to practice breathing into a stegasaurus? Ha, ha, that will take some mindfulness….
da werld rite now iz scarier than any old dinosaur…oh mi cod, mum sez she can use a cranial mystical healing massage right now
He’s ready to sell hourly time anytime..4 boxes of kibble per hour, haha.
How sad Loulou, you’ll make the best of it I’m sure.
Well, I slept with my aunty last night, so takeTHAT!
A very profound post LouLou !
haha, I am deep, very deep, deep as the ocean.
I am thankful for you and your mama’s friendship. XO
Well boy so are we, dear Ellen. So are we.
Loulou, I am currently working my way through a series of books written by David Michie, about learning mindfulness.
The series is “The Dalai Lama’s Cat”, and they gently show the characters in the books on how to live in harmony with nature and our busy world.
Easy reads, and profound.
Oh, thank you so, so much. My aunty-sitter worked with the Dalai Lama once and said he came into the kitchen and made wonderful jokes. Mama will definitely read this one! To me, of course, as I’m getting new reading glasses next week.
