Oh, I am so glad Sudan’s lineage will continue.
Well, thank you to readers who did some research on Sudan, as he may have progeny after all because it seems he left two daughters behind, and the zoologists have his sperm and so might mate them to produce more white rhinos. Is that okay? Maybe the gene pool is different for animals.
Well, thank you all for the information.
I went back to check on my link to the amazing University of Maryland article and found that, indeed, the link was missing (thank you for mentioning that, Ralphe) and so put it back in. I really must edit my blogs more thoroughly, but don’t you sometimes get to a point of just bzzzzzzzzzing off a blog on the spur of the moment and then the phone rings or you see that the water line in the garden is spouting unnaturally or the doorbell chimes or the pasta water is about to boil over or papa appears and all I want to do is go clunk and have a tummy rub and then the blog is out there in cyberspace with typos and no links, and so on and so forth? Does that ever happen to you?
This is me after making mistakes!
Well, just imagine trying to do a blog with PAWS!!! I often hit the wrong letter and some weird work comes up. I meant ‘weird WORDS’. See, it happens.
It is sort of like spellcheck on emails. Mya’s mama is always sending hilarious spellcheck in her emails—yesterday she wanted to say “voila'” and it came up “void”. I’ll try to catalogue them, no pun intended, and put a few funnies in a blog. Mama LOVES them because they make her laugh. Hey, maybe I’ll turn on spell check and see what comes up in a blog, haha.
The wind is still whistling at 80 mph and mama says I’ll be blown away if I go out…just like Toto, she says. Who the heck is Toto? Sounds doglike so I’m stayin’ IN….
Mama, I think our table is blowing away!
Mama, now the CHAIRS are moving!
Why does no one ever listen to me? Two chairs gone, mama. C’est la vie!
Maybe if I attached some rocks to my paws I could go out, no?
Don’t go out there, Loulou! We don’t want you to blow away!
Well, the winds have quieted down, but you never know around here when they’ll be back and stronger.
That wind sounds kind of scary but we’re thankful you were safe inside! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
LOVE the blog hop, Brian! Love to do it. So much to be thankful for…
oh my goodness! If it is as windy as you say it is, mama did right not wanting you to go out. How will things remain the same if you got blown away to some strange land nobody knows about?
Yes, like Land of Doggies!
Ouch! Of all the places to land, I don’t think the Land of Doggies would be an ideal landing zone 🙂
NO, NO, but if they are like Mya and Mignonne, I think I could survive.
Oooh, fun, Loulou – mama can tie a string to your harness (you do have one huh?) and you can fly like a kite!!! Mama says I’m too heavy and would just resemble the Hindenburg. Harrumph. She probably blames those gaffes on spellcheck but just can’t spell. She’s in the doghouse now. For maybe 2 seconds;…..well, my little friend Mignonne is here from New Orleans and mama threatened me that I’d better “play nice”. So I did. She’s 17 and tiny, and I found out it’s nice to have a sweet little doggie friend. She’s coming back over today. Yippee!!
Oh, Mya, you would make a cute little kite and we could soar together! Say hello to Mignonne
That is good news about the rhinos. And you look so cute standing at the door. XO
Well, I was checking out the wind and I stayed INDOORS.
Oh LouLou, I’m so glad you were safe inside ! We had 4+ inches of snow this morning and every school in the county was closed !
I bet your Mama is relieved that the Austin Bomber is no more.
I don’t know that animals are as fussy about mating with relatives as humans are, but I know the zoologists would like more diversity in the gene pool – but there doesn’t seem to be any. Sad that it had to come to this.
Maybe see what happens with the white rhino daughters and say, a hippo?
