Dreaming of Krueger…
Well, today I share with you a little love story. My dear auntie Lynne was working some years ago in Honolulu with a group studying animal communications, and received a coup de foudre! Later, she called a friend, exclaiming over her new love’s sweetness and intelligence, and that when putting her hand against his soft forehead, she was filled with an amazing energy, a power from him that she had never experienced.
He was strong but gentle–when backed into a corner by an unruly young giraffe whose adolescent behavior verged on bullying, my aunt’s true love only lightly tossed his head with its formidable horn and baby giraffe backed off!
Yes, Kruger was a rhino. A big rhino. A white rhino. And later in her life, when my aunt visited him at the Honolulu zoo savanna where he lived, she called, “Kruger” and he came running! Clearly true love on his part, too. But I have to say, my aunt Lynne has had some unusual experiences, so maybe she’ll part with a few more tales!
I’m not sure of what I would do with a rhino friend. When mama went on a small three-day safari in South Africa, she was told by the guide (when the group was taken out in the jeep to see rhinos), as they walked carefully through the bush to where the rhinos were grazing, “If the rhino turns and sees you, DROP FLAT on the ground.”
Mama said that she edged a bit back toward the jeep, just in case…
Oh, Kruger, where were you then?
Amazing and thanks so much for sharing. We believe in animal communication and so does Dad

Please read the lovely story about animals from Mitzi in today’s blog.
Thanks for sharing my Kruger story!! I still get the warm fuzzies when i think of him, even tho i met him so many years ago.
Well, an animalcommunication expert was clearly what Kruger was looking for! You made him happy, there is no doubt.
What a great story ! A Rhino Whisperer ! I think there are many limits to what humans believe animals capable of vis-a-vis ourselves.
I agree completely. And our friend, my aunty Lynne, has worked with animals and communication and does awfully well with anthros, too! She was a nurse who shaped misformed babies’skulls when newborn. Cranial shaping work to make their little heads correct.
What a wonderful story LouLou. I live in SA, and the amazing array of animals are my favourite part of this beautiful country.
Oh, mama loved SA when her stepdaughter was living in Pretoria. Not such good times then, but I hope they are better now for the country.
You are so lucky to have animals everywhere. If you would like to write a very small piece about your experiences with them, I would include it in my Loulou.
I am so happy you loved SA. Our beautiful country has many problems stemming from the evils of apartheid, but things are changing slowly. Thanks LouLou, I would be honoured to write a short piece. I will be in touch.
Awwww – Kruger was probably hungry and thought Auntie Lynne had brought him treats? Or maybe he wanted to see his friend (that was mama speaking, you know I always go for the food first). But we animals have an instinct and we sense those who give us positive vibes! Like, I always smile at my favorite people. We know.
Oh, Mya, mama says you smile at her and papa every time you see them.
That’s a very sweet story LouLou. Mommy’s worked with many animals in her life too. Some we’ve never heard of, but she says they were all wonderful in their own way. Big hugs
Luv ya’

Wow, what did your mommy do with animals? We’d love to know.
Your mama met rhinos? We’re not sure we would want to be in the same area with them?
No, mama only SAW rhinos in the very far distance. The other people on the tour went closer. NOT MAMA, haha.
