Well, there are some really funny anthros out there on the streets of Roma. This guy, for example, is standing STILL, but what a great idea to dress like that with his tie flying. HILARIOUS, mama!
Oh, no, not again. Mama’s in her Cute Doggy Stage and heaven knows when she’ll be out of it.
Cute, I guess, if you like large sausages!
As for this one, he blurred…probably a bit hyper and hard to manage, nervous, jittery, and more…
Well, this one looks sort of okay, but he’s actually trying to unhook that gold necklace and pass it to his accomplice behind the anthro!
Now, enough of doggies, mama loved this little tearful angel (called putto in Italian), but couldn’t find anywhere why he is crying.
And this is a lovely restored fountain that was part of the university, which moved to another part of the city. But mama and papa love the books and the deer and how the water flows out of the books, perhaps symbolizing the thirst for knowledge that one can quench with books.
A mural by Raffaelo is in a little sweet church next to the Bramante–a museum that shows modern and ancient artists. Now they are showing Basquiat, the amazing artist who died so young, 28 years old, after doing hundreds of works and drawings.
Some are below.
Well, I hope they send some pics of more KITTIES and DOGGIES….I JUST LOVE THOSE!
Oy…should keep my muzzle shut!
Loulou, what if your humans brought one of those D-O-Gs home with them?! What would you do? Yes, I agree, I think the one was about to go for the gold chain & pawn if for a slab of meat at the butcher shop.
My humans love viewing sculptures and art galleries, too. Have your humans seen any cat sculptures on their trip?
There is a lovely one at the villa giulia Etruscan museum. SO beautiful. Maybe they’ll snap a shot of it for the blog for me.
LOVE the flying-tie-guy!!!! And the wonderful art pics – old and new. That’s what makes these old European cities so beautiful and vibrant – the mélange!! NOW – you have to arrange an intro to that cute little doggie-thief!! Imagine how much loot he and I could make off with with our cuteness. And we could get an act together where YOU’RE the cat burglar – and we could wait downstairs with the vespa! Uh oh – mama’s looking over my shoulder here……..
YES, a VESPA cattaway! These plans may take time. When are we getting together, Mya?
Hmmm, so your mama is getting her daily Loulou fix via furry strangers. Not quite the same. She mus really be missing you.
Oh, boy, is she ever. But I wrote her a letter so she’ll feel better. Wow, poetry.
I notice the crying angel seems to have a hammer (!) in his hand, so he probably smashed his thumb trying to pound something. Or one of the other angels caught him hammering the wrong thing and is scolding him.
In the comic strip “Dilbert”, Dilbert’s tie is always flying over his shoulder even when he is standing around drinking coffee or sitting at his desk. Maybe your folks ran into the REAL Dilbert in Rome !
Sorry they are inflicting you with non-Anthro pictures.
Well, that’s an interesting take on the little putti. He must have been impersonating Dilbert–mama remembers that, too.
