OH, NO, what will mama think of next?
Well, mama was looking at funny videos to lift her morning spirits and she came up with this! I have a feeling this may become birdensome for me…
Okay, okay, yes, they are cute, they are smart, they are so, so good at charming the pants off of anyone crazy enough to pay attention (read: mama).
My aunty, Barbara, lost her watch to a magpie long ago. I guess he wanted to have a good TIME, haha.
They’ll steal ANYTHING, including my kibble, I’m sure.
We actually have one right here in the garden and I’m afraid mama is going to get some wild ideas about putting toys out for that crazy magpie to play with, and then he’ll be here for breakfast, lunch and dinner, mark my words!
You know what I think? I think all of this is for the birds!
Uh, oh, I just realized. I had better hide my toys!
(But the truth is, I think that lady is amazing.)
If one comes by and tries to steal your toys, maybe you can throw pudding or “pie” at it. Tee hee hee.
HA HA I think they want to steal ME.
WOW, those magpies are something, I’d never seen on before now.
Very smart cookies! Great thieves.
Now that is a bird with a brain. We liked him and would like to have him for lunch… Um, over for lunch
AHA…we heard that. Teddie! I’ve heard that magpies are not the tastiest of birdies. Maybe try a turkey….
We don’t have magpies but we’ve got swallows again. And they building their nest on our deck and being very annoying! ~Ernie
Oh, they are doing that here on our street, too. And they divebomb anyone who gets near. Not touching of course.
Wow, Loulou, she’s a mommy magpie. What a precious video – thanks for sharing.
Just like to keep the good spirits up and running. Glad you liked it.
That is such a heart-warming story…..somehow those SMART magpies knew she needed “rehab” as much as THEY did. It led her to be a carer of the birds and that’s wonderful. They are smart birds – we loved watching them play in her yard and follow her around. Animals of ALL kinds are smart (we know that already right Loulou?????). Thanks for sharing.
Love, Teddy
SO glad when you love the things we love. Mama is trying to snap a pic of our ‘pie’ as they are called here. Pronounced PEE.
I will check that out. Thanks for sharing.
It’s a sweet story, like you.
Just remind Mama of that Alfred Hitchcock movie she probably saw as a teenager…
HAHA, magpies attacking…not sure they are that vicious.
