Well, is this a beautiful turtle or WHAT? Mama’s nephew took photos of the turtles on the sand on Maui and mama found this wonderful video about diving with them in those amazingly emerald waters of Hawaii. The music is pretty wonderful, too. Very soothing and spiritual.
And here they are all together on the sand.

Here is everything you might ever want to know about turtles but were afraid to ask, haha. Mama loves them and imagines swimming along behind holding onto the shell.
Not me.
I like the ones that just slug along on earth, the ones near here who are really fun to visit. But that’s only because I am not a very good swimmer. In fact, I’d like to know a cat that is one! Really–if you know a swimming cat, let ME know and maybe I’ll take lessons and go to Maui.
Dat’s a lot of turtle LouLou. We hear they bite. We have those land dwellers dat would just as soon snap your finger off as to look at ya’. But mommy saved one once cuz da lawn crew put a baby in an old coffee can outside and then left him. Course he furinally got too big fur da tank and mommy turned him loose outside. She says she had a couple tiny turtles when she was young, but somethin’ terrible befell them so we don’t talk ’bout it. Anyways gawjus. have a great weekend.
Luv ya’

Oh, yeah, Dezi, mama knows about those little turtles that your mama and my mama had as kids and no, we don’t want to go there…Poor little things always came to some awful end. But these are supposed to be pretty tame and nice. Still…I’m CERTAINLY not swimming with them, you can bet your boots.
Mom luffs turtles, especially the tiny ones. We have never seen one ourselves.
Frankly, I have never seen one either but mama loves them and so I just look at the pictures with her and try to imagine carrying that house around and the truth is, I’m glad I’m a kitty.
We’re not sure we’d like to carry our home around on our back so we think turtles are hard working. 🙂
You have a point. Snails, too. Exhausting.
turtles usually come to the beach to lay eggs at night. That is what we thought.
Yes, they do. I think they had been on the beach the night before and were going back into the ocean the next morning.
Turtels? where da saturday snoozie arts go? me comed from athena bloggie and da linky shows up turtels…me never mets a turel afore. are dey funs? mol. -Katie Too.
OH, how nice to show you a turtle when you have never seen one. Guess what? I haven’t either! Mama just showed me this photo that one of our family members took in Hawaii. They look nice, no?
I love turtles. I had 2 as pets that I bought from a street vendor in 2002, one died in 2013 and the other died last year. They were very friendly and never tried to snap at me when I took them out to clean the aquarium. Swimming with the big ones would be fun.
Well, mama, too, loves turtles and other weird creatures like moles and beavers and strange-looking hairy things that I cannot possibly tolerate in my space. But what the heck, I can’t swim anyway so I’ll let her do that. She has friends who swam with SHARKS!!! I draw the line.
