WOW, I had no IDEA that floating through a rainbow would do THIS!!!
This is like the opening of the Olympics last night, mama says.
FANTASTIC, AMAZING, KOOKY, BEAUTIFUL, MEMORABLE…and more, much more.
Mama is still trying to figure out how the amazing organizer planned and executed all that went on over 4 hours! And the MUSIC…and the voices and the dancers and the ROBOT HORSE THAT ROAD DOWN THE SEINE with the rider carrying the Olympic flag!!!!! That horsie was worth the wait….and there were events all ove Paris. Really out of this world.
And mama says that newspapers trying to put it down were just JEALOUS!!!! There will never be another opening of the Olympics like this one. The athletes on their individual river boats were really touching, so much more interesting than just walking into a stadium. And the orchestra….well, I won’t give that away in case you watch this. Treat youself to some weird, wacky and wonderful moments of the opening ceremony!
Vive La France!
Another selfie that could have been at the opening, haha.
the horse galloping down dee seine!!!!!!oh my cod!!! dee mum thot dat wuz awesum!!!! she wuz wowed!!!! lou lou, yoo r berry sy-ka-dell-ick!!!!!
OUI OUI OUI dat horsie wuz de BESTist!!!! Mama: I can’t believe the organization of this ceremony. Incredible!!!!
It was a MAGICAL opening for the Olympics….in fact, my Mom got teary at several times just because it was overwhelming. Nobody was bothered by the heavy (at times) rain either. It was just spectacular. We love your selfies (moving and non moving!) Loulou. We have such fun with Lunapic. Hope your Sunday is beautiful – ours is here in Virginia for a change. Cooler than usual.
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, good, nice weather for a change and yes, mama got teary a lot too!! Such beauty…
That is a very colorful look for you, Loulou!
Well, I do like changes every now and again…wanted to fit into the ceremony….
LouLou, that floating pawtrait is simply Magnifique!
Yes, We watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics and found it most impressive. There were some parts that were – shall we say, a little bizarre – but, for the most part, We enjoyed it (despite the fact that the TV digital converter died minutes before the ceremony was due to start and We had to watch it over the internet). We especially liked the masked torchbearer leaping over the rooftops, breaking into the Louvre and galloping down the Seine – and, of course, the lighting of the Beacon and Celine Dion doing her Edith Piaf thing on top of the Eiffel Tower.
OH, we are so glad you saw it, any whichaways!!! Yes it was bizarre in some parts but everyone was included…male female other ….and the horse, OMC! The best.
What an extravaganza the opening was, Loulou! Those selfies of you would definitely have made the cut.
Ha ha, such fun with Loonypics, non?
Very trippy!
Lunapic is just so much fun for mama…
I really like your rainbow selfie.
During the Olympics is one of the few times I wish we could afford to have TV.
Do you have email? There are videos that can be sent of the ceremony and also the olympics, I’m sure.
I think you can get an email from mama with highlights of the evening. Do you have an email? She’ll send it to messymimi@live.com, ok?Mama has just sent it to you!
Truly, a one-of-a-kind event, Angel Loulou!
What a gorgeous city to host such a spectacle.
Oh, so glad you saw the beauty and yes, amazing city….magical, wondrous.
Loulou, what fabulous artwork effects on your beautiful pictures! I’ve yet to try the newer art making techniques myself (not so new any more) as it’s hard for me to sit at computer for long. Those Olympic Opening Ceremonies do sound good, we didn’t watch as we both had so much else to do. Maybe we’ll watch some later! Meows from us!
Well, mama will send the video of hightlights if you wish. She’ll put the url on my blog, too. So sorry about sitting at a computer but maybe you are better off!!!
Very cool art. Yes, those that knock things are jealous of others- a sad part of life. XO
BUT….in general, everyone seemed to be blown away and joyful. Thank heaven….
The Opening Ceremonies were indeed beautiful ! We are so glad they went off safely, after the problems that occurred earlier in the day.
Oui, that was scary about the trains but oui, all went very well. Amazing organization…..
Your art is really wonderful and most impressive!
LOONYPIC is the answer…Lunapics, to be correct, and we love it. Ellen Pilch turned us on to it.
Nice art, Loulou. Actually, we thought it was pretty tacky, if not downright gross in some parts (the Conciergerie bloodbath and the “fashion” show). We liked the 10 great ladies who rose from the Seine and loved the horse, obviously. And the Olympic flame and Celine Dion.
Donc, we all have our views and they are of interest. Mama LOVED the catwalk and wished they had filmed longer on some of the wild outfits, and she thinks, too, that they were trying to include everyone in the skits…male, female, trans, whatever, lgbtq, and they did not let religion or politics get in the way, except for the wonderful old pics of the olympics. We were thrilled with all and so glad you saw it.
