A courageous little tomato plant growing under a water spout up on a cement walkway.
I think gardens require what is called “patience”, no?
Mama says there are small new tomatoes on these plants but I don’t see them.
Maybe I don’t have a green paw…
Hey, but you can bet I know what THIS is!!!
your Mama has a green paw (‘er THUMB) though!
Always go for the nip, Loulou.
Yes, good advice!
This year my tomatoe plants look promising. Miam miam…
A heatwave is announced and I do hope it will have a positive effect on the whole garden.
Next year, I am determined to prepare my own plants.
Fun and a lot cheaper!
Is it what you do, Loulou?
Mama starts all of our tomatoes with seeds from Burpee Co. from the USA because they are resistant to fusalarim, that yellow leaf attack on some tomatoes and they are hybrid huge beefsteaks plus some sauce tomatoes and some cherry tomatoes, chocolate cherry they are called.
We start them and then transplant to larger pots and then when they are about 8″tall we plant the base stripped of leaves just up to the top three branches and the root system is stronger that way.
Yes, it makes sense that ridden of their unnecessary leaves, they get stronger.
I benefit from the advice of a new neighbor. Thanks to him, my little potager looks really great (at least at the moment).
Would love to see a photo!
Loulou, if I were there – I would find them for sure. But I see you found the nip, teehee – or if fish fell off the grill………..well, we know what would happen! Is it as hot there as it is here? But supposed to be “normal” next week. Our peeps sometimes forget we wear fur coats all year!
I know, I wish I could unzip mine. It’s not hot enough for mama, it’s too muggy here.
That is all you need to know LouLou 🙂
Well, I like to furthur my edication, haha.
from the looks of that nip patch, SOMEbody has a green paw !
Well, mama DID plant a lot of seeds….
Oh Happy NipFest!
Every day around here is a nip fest. You should visit!
