Well, FINALLY, mama has started our garden.
In pots that is. This is an old pic but you get my drift…
Hey, it’s something, since before you can say Kibble Snacks the summer will be here and the tomatoes will be ripe and the basil will be blooming and the eggplants will be egging and the squash will be squishing and our gardenia, even now, is full of blossoms, its flowers exuding the exquisite memorable perfume of childhood for mama.
Papa’s present for their anniversary. So lovely.
Too high to reach for me to help it grow, though, if you know what I’m sayin’…
Yellow Pepper Tomatoes and a zucchine called “Gabriella” to remind mama of her friend, Gabriella, papa’s ex.
Pesto, coming soon to a pasta near you…
Wow Dad better get planting but we still have time where we live
There is time. Everything comes up anyway when it wants to haha.
I hope it’s a bountiful year for your garden!
Oh, merci! We, too.
Oh what great looking plants – the anniversary gardenia is really gorgeous and that lovely scent is one of my Mom’s FAVORITES. Mom doesn’t garden out in the yard any longer but we usually have a pot with a tomato plant to tend to on our back deck. YAY FOR SPRING!
Hugs, Teddy
Yes on tomato plants in pots! Big pots!
WELL, Loulou – did your nip get planted!? Hoping, teehee…. We all need a respite from this horrible bug! I play with my toys – and chase them. Especially the ones that squeak – like the big shoe!!!!
So so glad you like your toy with soul, haha. Er…sole.
Smell is one of the best triggers for memories, isn’t it ?
Oh yes and mama should have been a bloodhound, haha.
We love when eggplants are egging, Loulou!
Here in Michigan, we still have a ways to go before we can start to plant things, but as you say, time goes by quickly.
All in good time. Things grow when THEY please! No worries about planting. May, even June works the same!
How cool things are getting their blooms on!
Yes, the roses are about to open, too.
