Well, today we are sharing our favorite spark.
If only we could follow it’s message…
Listen and learn.
We can’t remember who said that being silent will give you more knowledge than speaking, yakking all the time, but it was something like that.
Listening is an art.
We’re still practicing….
I’M AWAKE, MAMA, I’M AWAKE AND I AM LISTENING!!! JEEZ….
These are great comments I thought Ileft one but I bet I didn’t/ The owl poem is great !
Love that owl poem and want to remember it.
Less talk and more listening is what’s needed now!
Well, Ernie, we see that you are a VERY good listener and watcher and must have loads of knowledge from doing this.
One of the most beautiful gifts you can give someone, Loulou. Listening in earnest and not just to respond.
Oui, Miliza, and I listen a lot. I just LOOK as if I’m snoozing…..
Listening sure is a lost art these days Loulou!
Well, I listen to the birdies and they’re pretty savvy…
Yup…we all need to be silent so we can listen…and when we’ve absorbed the words, we will learn…hopefully, MOL! Then we can open our own yaps to speak our words of wisdom…or not!
Well, you two are SURELY sage with your yaps, haha. I’m listening. Doggies have much to teach us.
Woof Woof! Aroo!
Oh, to get a woof on Wednesday. MERCI!
You are so wise and so pretty. XO
Well, I ponder quite often the state of the world.
Loulou, my eldest sister taught me this poem was a was very young:
A wise old owl, lived in an oak.
The more he saw, the less he spoke.
The less he spoke, the more he heard.
Why can’t we all be like that wise old bird?
However, I’m always one to shoot my mouth off in impatience, usually meaning I have to put my foot in it soon afterward.
Haha, mama knows well the placement of an appendage in the boca, haha. LOVE the poem and will get mama to memorize it….
Posing is an art today, and you, Loulou, know how it’s done!
Purrs,
The Chans
Well, snoozing contributes to my vast knowledge of posing, haha.
We think you make the purrfect art right now, sweet LouLou. I think you mean the Dalai Lama quote: “When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new.”
Double Pawkisses from us for a Happy Week ahead🐾😽💞
That is wonderful. Mama’s dear friend cooked for the Dalai Lama and she said he was in the kitchen often, making wonderful jokes.
