Uh, could you get that sunhat you promised me? Or stand somewhere and shade my eyeballs?
Well, it’s about 90F here today and you can guess where I am and will stay. Lying down. Snoozing. Awaking only for a rub from papa because he cannot pass by me without WAKING ME UP to get rubbed! Maybe if I lie in the roses he won’t be so tempted.
Mama said that the open market vegetables were practically sautéed, haha.
But she came home with some great gazpacho fixings, whatever that is. I think it’s lots of tomatoes, onion, garlic, cilantro, cucumber, and maybe a little touch of mint.
Hey, what do I know, I’m a kitty.
You eat it cold with olive oil sloshed into the bowl and maybe some nice croutons. Whatever they are.
Gazpacho in the works.
Et voila’.
Me, I’m hanging on for part of the duck leg that I KNOW she bought because I heard her say she was getting two.
NOT THREE?
Jeez, Louise, do I have to teach THEM everything?
What LouLou? You don’t get your own leg? That’s not right, just not right at all. MOL You look adorable as always. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
The mom says gazpacho would be purrrfect! Stay cool, Loulou!
Ahhhh, Mama is going to crank up the blender after reading this! They haven’t made gazpacho yet this summer, but it is TIME. Hot here too – finally they turned on the AC. So nice. Sometimes I think they forget we are wearing fur coats!! SO, did you at least get a morsel of duck?
Oh, did I!!! And I saw that there was a leg LEFTOVER…hmmm. Now where would they keep it?
Don’t suppose there is a 6 legged quacker for us 5 kitties and Marcus? That cold meal sounds good about now!
Hey, I’ll look into that. Now sure that would even be enough for Marcus!
That looks good.
All vegetable/vitamin packed!
yum yum! that sounds and LOOKS delicious, oh and YOU look pretty delicious too!
Oh, but this fur coat is a bit stifling…and I’m not a gazpacho fan. Maybe chilled mouse mousse?
I imagine it’s hard for Mama to find 3-legged ducks at the market.
I would not usually be interested in cold soup, but it sounds mighty good now. I hope you can survive the 90s. Is that a record ?
Oh, gazpacho is one of the best,,,that, and vichysoise…deadly rich with potatoes and cream, but gazpacho is light and all vegetables and olive oil. So good in 90+ weather and yes, it is a record as would be that three-legged quacker!
